Want to know when the right time to start working on your horses is?
Now.

Training is hard.
Learning to use their bodies is hard.
Becoming a finely tuned athlete is stress on the body.

There are no horses that need to “earn” any therapies.
No list of accomplishments on their resumes that make them worthy.

If anything, making sure that their bodies are functioning comfortably is only going to enable them to show you what they’re capable of.

My favorite thing to treat is open wounds. I currently have 3 in my barn but this one just happens to be mine😒. Thankfully I have every tool to heal her up quickly 💯

As summer comes to an end I can not help but to feel extremely blessed to live this dream. I am so thankful for my clients and all of the amazing horses I have had the pleasure to work on this summer. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me as this is only the beginning 🫶🏼

Movement. A big factor into my rehab program. -Example- Often times the vets say 60 days stall rest. Which you should listen to your vet. Unless you ask me what i would do.

Sitting in a stall -
• No natural blood flow
• Mentally depressing
• Swelling in other limbs aside from the point of injury
• Weakens more tendons/ligaments/muscles
• Creating a fire breathing dragon

Movement-
• They’re only going to move as much as they can or want
• Their Brain is functioning
• The natural blood flow from moving increases healing
• Movement to keep things moving the way it should.
• They maintain everyday routine, turn out time won’t be extra exciting- run/buck/kick dangerous.

The body will heal if it wants to heal. My Acuscope/Myopulse speeds up the healing process by 50%+. So in my barn if they can move they’re going too, along with daily treatments. I rotate stalls to keep their mind guessing. I have small small outdoor pens they go out into for a few hours to see day light. They get to grab some grass on the way to and from their stall. They maintain a mentally and physically healthy program. Please think about your body and how it feels sitting in a truck for too long or standing/sitting in one spot for too long. Even injured, movement is 🔑.

Just a friendly reminder, just because your horse hasn’t coughed, refused the gate or bled out their nose, doesn’t mean they haven’t bled or aren’t bleeders. This heat is brutal! If they bleed out, chances are they’ve been bleeding back for awhile. Trying to breathe with blood/ fluid in their lungs is a scary feeling for them! Getting strong, running off or diving at barrels is a good sign. Giving Lasix is easier on them then bleeding 🩸💉



We treat your horse as a whole 🙌🏻
If you don’t know where to start-
• Enter a race with a vet on site to have your horse scoped after your run. It’s cheaper, more convenient, and more accurate.
• If they scope with mucus or blisters, ask your vet about a allergy panel or pulling a BAL.
• No money is wasted when taking care of their lungs! 🫁

🚩🚩 If they are bleeding through lasix, stacking meds isn’t going to help. There’s an underlying reason as to why they’re bleeding. Do your vet work before stacking meds!
