Hello Friends and Clients of Thurman Veterinary Center! We will be closed for veterinary services on Monday, May 27th, in honor of the Memorial Day Holiday. We will be open for boarding pick up and drop off from 8 am- 5 pm (closed for lunch from 12-1:30 pm). We will also be available for medication pick up, if the medications have been filled prior to 05/27/2024. We hope everyone has a fun-filled holiday weekend!

We are officially at the last day of SADDEST week in TVC history! We have one more employee off to new adventures in a new city! Mackenna has been an amazing technician and receptionist throughout her time with us! We wish her nothing but the best in Ventura!!!!! Congrats to new beginnings! We will miss you!

Another bird is leaving the nest! Our amazing employee, Karina, is off to pursue a career in equine medicine. We wish her the best of luck, and she always knows she has a home at Thurman Veterinary Center ❤️ She will be greatly missed!!!!

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to one of our amazing staff members! Madi is off to new adventures in Oklahoma!!! We wish her nothing but the best, and we thank her for all of her hard work and dedication over the years. Working with Madi made every day a happy one. We will miss her!!!! ❤️😭

Congratulations Dr. Mischke!!!! Thank you to all of our amazing clients to recognize Dr. Mischke as one of the FAVORITE VETERINARIANS in Bakersfield! Thurman Veterinary Center is so fortunate to have taken the Top TWO spots in the BEST VETERINARIAN category! Dr. Mischke has been such a wonderful addition to the TVC team and we feel so lucky to have her! Her hard work and determination earned her this spot, and we are so thankful to everyone for nominating her!!

We were so lucky to have Darren with Kern CPR come out to the office and make sure all of our staff is fully trained on CPR and emergency medical treatments! Not only did we learn life saving skills for our furry friends- but we learned them for the humans too! Thank you!!!!

Introducing another one of our amazing employees! This is Daniela! She may be one of the newest members of the TVC team, but she has been an awesome addition! She has years of experience in customer service, and has been a Veterinary Receptionist for years! She spends her free time socializing with friends, spending lots of time with her family, and spoiling her fur babies! When it comes to spoiling, we are so lucky- Daniela is an amazing baker and brings her homemade treats to the office weekly! From her jalapeño cheese bread- to her sourdough cinnamon rolls- they are just as amazing as she is!

Happy Tuesday Clients and Friends of Thurman Veterinary Center! This week we are taking a moment to recognize our employee Celine! Celine has been a member of the TVC team for 2 years! She started with us as a Kennel Assistant, moved to Kennel Supervisor, and is currently in training to become a Veterinary Assistant. She has shown time and time again her amazing work ethic and mission to going above and beyond. She is dedicated to making everyone’s office experience an exemplary one! When she isn’t here at the office, she loves reading, going to the movies, and traveling with her husband. Recently they have spent time in Mexico, Florida, New York City, and are eagerly awaiting a trip to Italy at the beginning of summer! We can’t wait to see where she goes next- growing within the office, and across the globe!

Happy Monday Clients and Friends of Thurman Veterinary Center! The employee that we are highlighting this week is our Lead Veterinary Assistant Garrett! Garrett has been with TVC for 5.5 years! He has worn many hats in this office: Kennel Assistant, Kennel Supervisior, Veterinary Assistant, and now Lead Assistant! Garrett loves spending time with his significant other, doing fun things with family, spending time with his French Bulldog (Carter), working out, and practicing yoga. He definitely knows how to keep the office “zen” in those crazy busy moments! We don’t know what we would do without him!

Happy Friday Clients and Friends! We are starting Fun Friday highlighting one of our amazing employees each week! We are starting with one of our Veterinary Assistants- Madi! She comes from a background in FFA, started with us as a kennel assistant, moved to supervisor, and then became a Veterinary Assistant. This week she is in Texas training for her RVT license. We are so proud of her!
