This is Zaggy! Zaggy is a 2 year old leopard gecko that is having some issues with her eyes. Being unable to see her food has made it really hard for her to eat and thus she has lost some weight. Did you know, leopard geckos store food, water and nutrients in their tails?! Zaggy visited the vet earlier this week and has been prescribed eye drops in addition to regular soaks of the eyes. If you would like to donate to her medical care, please message us!

This is Pumpkin, a desert tortoise with significant Metabolic Bone Disease. MBD is caused by an improper balance of vitamins, minerals and nutrients required for a reptiles diet. While there is no “cure”, MBD can be corrected but in most cases, irreversible damage is done. Pumpkin will require a lot of intensive care over the next several months but we plan to do our best for him! Pumpkin will likely be an ambassador with the rescue. Welcome to the rescue Mark! Mark is an adorable little razorback musk turtle who is missing a front leg. This species requires a minimum 40 gallon aquarium with an excellent filter system, as they are almost entirely aquatic. His tank with us is almost set up and ready for him ❤️

Poppy is a beautiful 5 year old corn snake and she is ready for her new family! She’s eating well on frozen/thawed mice and just had a successful shed. Her temperament is pretty mellow and she does not musk or strike at her foster. Please message us if you’re interested in adopting Poppy. Proof of appropriate set up is required prior to adoption. Poppy is an adult and needs at minimum a 40 gallon tank, or a 2x2x4 ft long pvc enclosure would be even better (such as Dubia brand). Help us find Poppy a new home!

We love updates! Thank you Jennie for the wonderful update on Butterscotch and Oreo!

Jennie writes: Oreo and butterscotch are doing very well. They have been downgraded to a single story habitat due to butterscotch having arthritis in her back. It doesn't seem to slow her down at all however. We just downgraded her for their safety. Both willingly accepts pets and treats of all kinds. They're happy, healthy. And we couldn't be happier with them. Oreo's growth hasn't gotten any larger and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. Thank you again for helping these seniors.

This cutie was saved today by a Good Samaritan named Kat! He/she was found near Fred Thompson Jr. High off Planz as a stray on the streets and is now safe with us. Please share and help us find the owner. Tortoises are incredible escape artists and we know this kid has to have a family that misses them.
