Hello Dear Poultry Pals,

It’s official, Potter’s Poultry Ranch is now closed indefinitely.😭 If my health improves, 🙏🏻🤞🙏🏻🤞 you can bet your tail feathers that I will reopen.

Please note that we do not have any birds or fertile eggs for sale. It’s eerily quiet around here without all our hens and roos.

Once our freaky weather subsides, we’ll begin depleting larger equipment pieces and post note of such.

I/We thank you all for your years of patronage and kindness. More importantly, thank you all for the many years of friendship & fun. I will miss each of you terribly, though I’m praying and holding out faith that my upcoming surgery may do the trick!

A Big THANK YOU to all our devoted customer-family that swarmed the ranch Friday and today! We have completely SOLD OUT of all available Pullets and Hens. I am at peace in knowing so many wonderful families will be taking care of my precious flock hereafter.

We do have about 16) very displeased and lonely purebred Roosters on hand, if anyone’s interested? Each Roo is full grown, between 1-2 yrs, and vaccinated. Prices will vary between $0-$35.

Within the next couple of weeks, we’ll also begin listing available equipment. I know many of you were ready to purchase today though all equipment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before release, so as to eliminate risk of cross-contamination. Please be patient.

Lastly, someone brought me a beautiful orchid today. Though I couldn’t be present, my staff could not recall the customer’s name whom dropped it off. PLEASE rest assured that I LOVE it and am a huge fan of orchids! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness. If this was you, please let me know as I’d sincerely like to express my gratitude directly.

Hello Dear Poultry Pals!

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the closing of Potter’s Poultry Ranch. Please trust that this has not been an easy decision… My health has significantly deteriorated, forcing me to minimize my workload. I do hope our ranch closing isn’t permanent but as it stands, it shall be. 😭

Further devastating, I must reduce my own flock, a fate worse than death in my opinion. I love all my birds, how can I possibly choose one over another? Regardless, I must do so and can only pray that their forever homes will offer them the same love and attention that they’ve been accustomed to receiving since birth!

With the exception of approximately 30 pullets & cockerels, my flock consists of many, many adult birds that are already laying & fertilizing. There’s simply too many breeds to list. So if you’re interested in adult birds ranging from 1-3 years, as well as pullets & cockerels that haven’t begun to lay or fertilize (2-3 months) yet, please freely stop by.
Wednesday - Saturday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, until further notice.

We will also be liquidating items in our Lil’ Country Cottage. Feed, treats, supplements, feeders & waterers, heat lamps, toys, etc. Thereafter, we’ll be selling a lot of our poultry equipment, such as incubators, hatchers, brooders, cages, and pen/kennels. If you’re interested in any of the equipment, please let our staff know. We will contact interested customers as soon as the ranch has closed and equipment is then available.

Words cannot adequately express how much I will miss each of you. We have been so rewarded in your patronage but more importantly, we have been utterly blessed by your friendship.

Our final hatch of the season is progressing along and I must say, the CHICKS are spectacular! Of course, I am biased and for good reason, who else can guarantee that you won't be disappointed? UPDATED 10/12/2023: Are final hatch of the season started bright and early this morning. Thus far, the CHICKS are precious and the hatch is progressing according to plan (and prayer). The following CHICKS will be available on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 8:30am-4:00pm. We do expect these cuties to sell quickly so don't delay! Again, this is our FINAL hatch of this 2023 poultry season/year. When they're gone, we're gone until mid March/April.

We accept Preorders for birds when placed onsite, with 50% down and 50% due upon fulfillment. We encourage preordering for those participating in 4H and FFA programs, and anyone seeking specific or rare breeds. Fulfillment of a preorder may take 3-weeks to 3-months to satisfy, depending on successes in fertility, incubation and hatch. Preorders may be fulfilled progressively as we may be unable to hatch large orders or those of multiple breed, all at the same time. Please ask our staff for an estimated hatch date before placing a preorder.
All preorders must be picked up within 7-days of notification, unless other arrangements are made. Failure to pick up and satisfy a preorder within the 7-day period, will constitute forfeiture of preorder and deposit, unless other arrangements are made.
Vaccinations are included with all preorders unless the Buyer specifically requests otherwise at the time of placing the order.

Hatching eggs are unwashed with bloom intact, and $25-$35 per dozen. All hatching eggs are purebred, unless otherwise noted. Standard & Bantam breeds are not comingled and sold separately. PPR does not make any guarantee in success of private party hatches due to matters outside of our control, such as functionality of incubator, ability/inability to maintain accurate temperature, humidity, etc. PPR maintains a consistent fertility rate of 93-96%.
"KC's Barnyard Beauties" are a surprise egg mix of a minimum of 4-6 breeds, and are $25 per dozen.
"KC's Creations," when available for purchase, may or may not be purebred (bred from parents of the same breed or variety). They are unique and a 'mad-scientist' grouping. These hatching eggs are only produced during our attempts to create new breeds and while testing rooster fertility. They are sold by the dozen for $35.

Edible (table) eggs are fresh, refrigerated, $5 per dozen, and no more than 7 days old. If you desire edible eggs that have not been refrigerated, please request such at least 48-hours in advance.

Hatching eggs are unwashed with bloom intact, and $25-$35 per dozen. All hatching eggs are purebred, unless otherwise noted. Standard & Bantam breeds are not comingled and sold separately. PPR does not make any guarantee in success of private party hatches due to matters outside of our control, such as functionality of incubator, ability/inability to maintain accurate temperature, humidity, etc. PPR maintains a consistent fertility rate of 93-96%.
"KC's Barnyard Beauties" are a surprise egg mix of a minimum of 4-6 breeds, and are $25 per dozen.
"KC's Creations," when available for purchase, may or may not be purebred (bred from parents of the same breed or variety). They are unique and a 'mad-scientist' grouping. These hatching eggs are only produced during our attempts to create new breeds and while testing rooster fertility. They are sold by the dozen for $35.

We have many PULLETS and a few laying HENS in stock but poultry season is almost over. We may remain open for an additional 2 weeks in hopes of securing a forever home for all of our feathered ladies & gentlemen, but we will shut down on or about 10/14/2023 for the season. Although we call this a “promotion,” it’s actually a FREE Giveaway!!! For each bird purchased through 9/30/2023, our customers will receive 1 drawing ticket. The Winner of our giveaway will receive a pair (pullet & cockerel) of our breathtaking, critically threated Sicilian Buttercup’s. The Sicilian Buttercup is famous for not only it’s very unique buttercup comb, but also for its incredibly beautiful color pattern, which isn’t duplicated anywhere else in the chicken world. Sicilian Buttercups are calm and friendly birds, and very active and lively. They do not tolerate constant confinement well and should be permitted to free range and bug hunt at least a few times per week. If the Winner does not desire the Sicilian Buttercup pair, he/she may select two other birds from our stock.

ALL Chickens are vaccinated for Coccidiosis and Marek’s Disease, and are sold as Straight Run. Potter's Poultry Ranch, Inc. ("PPR"), supports the USDA National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) in keeping poultry safe and you should too!
Meat birds, Turkeys, Ducks and Geese are excluded from vaccines.

We accept Preorders for birds when placed onsite, with 50% down and 50% due upon fulfillment.
