Wow, talk about a crazy Friday morning! We completely sold out of available birds within 2 hours of opening. We may list a few more here and there, likely some of my ‘mad scientist’ mixes & creations, but no more purebreds until Spring 2025.

PLEASE save yourself the trip and inconvenience of being turned away… Other than two beautiful, rare Roosters, a White Ameraucana and a White-Faced-Black Spanish, we don’t have anything left!

Hello Poultry Pals! . OMG, I've missed all of your beautiful faces so much! As many of you know, I had to (temporarily) close our little Ranch this past winter as I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. It has certainly been rough though I've had surgery to remove the cooties and have now reached the halfway point of treatment. To date, my scans still look good. PLEASE keep the prayers and well wishes coming, it sincerely means so much.

Even though Potter's Poultry Ranch is technically closed, I do have a special treat for you... I have approximately 50 birds on hand for purchase and immediate rehome. Each were hatched in March 2024 and will literally begin laying any day, if they haven't started already.

Again, NO chicks or males, these birds are GUARANTEED FEMALES. Of course, we do have a few Roos available too, if you're interested. This Friday through Sunday (9/27/24-9/29/24), 8:30am-4:00pm only. Not our ordinary days/hours I know, but nothing about these lovely ladies is ordinary. 100% of the proceeds will be contributed to our Help the Homeless fundraiser. So come and get your layers of glorious large eggs and help a very worthy cause at the same time.

All birds have been vaccinated and are not intended for consumption. We do not have any meat birds available at this time. Large Pet Carriers, which will hold a maximum of TWO Birds only, are available for purchase for $10, or you may bring a suitable, well ventilated, pet carrier along with you.

I still can't have face-to-face contact with others due to the risk of infection; chemotherapy has really played havoc with my immune system. But please trust that I miss each of you terribly and can't wait until my cancer is past-tense!

Hello Dear Poultry Pals,

It’s official, Potter’s Poultry Ranch is now closed indefinitely.😭 If my health improves, 🙏🏻🤞🙏🏻🤞 you can bet your tail feathers that I will reopen.

Please note that we do not have any birds or fertile eggs for sale. It’s eerily quiet around here without all our hens and roos.

Once our freaky weather subsides, we’ll begin depleting larger equipment pieces and post note of such.

I/We thank you all for your years of patronage and kindness. More importantly, thank you all for the many years of friendship & fun. I will miss each of you terribly, though I’m praying and holding out faith that my upcoming surgery may do the trick!

A Big THANK YOU to all our devoted customer-family that swarmed the ranch Friday and today! We have completely SOLD OUT of all available Pullets and Hens. I am at peace in knowing so many wonderful families will be taking care of my precious flock hereafter.

We do have about 16) very displeased and lonely purebred Roosters on hand, if anyone’s interested? Each Roo is full grown, between 1-2 yrs, and vaccinated. Prices will vary between $0-$35.

Within the next couple of weeks, we’ll also begin listing available equipment. I know many of you were ready to purchase today though all equipment will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before release, so as to eliminate risk of cross-contamination. Please be patient.

Lastly, someone brought me a beautiful orchid today. Though I couldn’t be present, my staff could not recall the customer’s name whom dropped it off. PLEASE rest assured that I LOVE it and am a huge fan of orchids! Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and kindness. If this was you, please let me know as I’d sincerely like to express my gratitude directly.

We will continue to be open Wednesday through Saturday, from 8:30am to 4pm, while we place the Roosters.

Hello Dear Poultry Pals!

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I announce the closing of Potter’s Poultry Ranch. Please trust that this has not been an easy decision… My health has significantly deteriorated, forcing me to minimize my workload. I do hope our ranch closing isn’t permanent but as it stands, it shall be. 😭

Further devastating, I must reduce my own flock, a fate worse than death in my opinion. I love all my birds, how can I possibly choose one over another? Regardless, I must do so and can only pray that their forever homes will offer them the same love and attention that they’ve been accustomed to receiving since birth!

With the exception of approximately 30 pullets & cockerels, my flock consists of many, many adult birds that are already laying & fertilizing. There’s simply too many breeds to list. So if you’re interested in adult birds ranging from 1-3 years, as well as pullets & cockerels that haven’t begun to lay or fertilize (2-3 months) yet, please freely stop by.
Wednesday - Saturday, 8:30am to 4:00pm, until further notice.

We will also be liquidating items in our Lil’ Country Cottage. Feed, treats, supplements, feeders & waterers, heat lamps, toys, etc. Thereafter, we’ll be selling a lot of our poultry equipment, such as incubators, hatchers, brooders, cages, and pen/kennels. If you’re interested in any of the equipment, please let our staff know. We will contact interested customers as soon as the ranch has closed and equipment is then available.

Words cannot adequately express how much I will miss each of you. We have been so rewarded in your patronage but more importantly, we have been utterly blessed by your friendship.
