Towel surprise
When washing my shop towels I discovered a monster in the ones I had just taken out of the dryer and left in a pile prior to folding

On the Hunt
So we have a pile of old pipe. Every year a rabbit decides to move in under it thinking this would make a great home. Apparently the other rabbits didn't warn him about Lance. (No Bunnies were hurt in the making of this video)
Ah the joys of having a Great Dane in your life that insists you stop tilling the garden and come play with him
Watching dogs interact
Charlie and Rutherford enjoying life in our home approx 8 months after being rescued from a shelter in LA. I could watch dogs all day playing. Our life at home revolves around our animals and it never gets old. Being able to watch them grow from the abused dogs at the shelter to the happy care-free individuals they are now gives us a lot to be thankful for at this time of year.
I have a very enthusiastic helper today.

My friend Timmy
OPEN NOTICE TO ALL CLIENTS: Over the next few weeks I will continue to be out of the office while I spend quality time at home with my friend Timmy. As Timmy's health continues to decline, I really feel like it is important to him that the two of us continue to take daily walks (as much as he can handle) and, that when he needs it, he can receive my undivided attention.
I apologize to everyone because I realize this impacts you're interaction with our Hospital. I will answer the phone (we have an extension at home) when I can. I can remotely log in if need be as well. Please don't hesitate to ask anyone at the office to contact me if at anytime you have an issue that you feel needs my attention.
Tuesday, Nov 14th, Dr Sheahan will be removing more of Timmy's cancer and I will be in the office that day. Shortly thereafter, we plan to take Timmy to the Neurosurgeon for surgery on his spine, if he is healthy enough to handle further anesthesia. At that point Timmy will require my undivided 24 hr attention during his expected 6 to 8 weeks of recovery. Again, I will make myself as available as I can during his recovery.
Timmy is a very special dog for me. He is my friend and constant companion. He came into my life approximately two years after I had a liver Transplant. I am gratefully to the family who had the kindness to allow me to adopt him when he was in need of a new home. I have been truly blessed that my ownership, in conjunction with my wife, Heidi Sheahan DVM DABVP, of Rosedale Veterinary Hospital, has enabled me to bring Timmy to the office everyday and to keep him healthy all these many years. While rejoicing in the bond that Timmy and I have developed, I find that, as his time with me grows shorter my heart is filled with great sadness.
I know that many of you share similar stories of that special bond with your own furry friends. My wife and I have been present to for many of those special relationships. So I am sure many of you understand what my wife
Lance is making sure I'm installing the septic system correctly.
Hahaha it took me one try to teach lance how to run up and down the "stairs" of the open drawers. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks :)
