Fostering puppies teaches kids about the responsibilities of dog ownership AND you get all the fun too! I think our newest Unity foster pup is pretty happy she got a 5 year old (human) foster brother, don’t you think? 🐾

So thankful to our fosters who always say yes to the next dog or litter of puppies.
This little stinker was dumped at the shelter after hours and thankfully we were able to take them and get them to foster homes.

It’s almost Giving Tuesday and we desperately need your help.
Unity K9 is an all-volunteer rescue with no salaries or overhead.
We literally survive on less than $1,000 a month in donations and half goes to our insurance!
Please help us keep rescuing, fostering and transporting 100’s of dogs each month as well as our community outreach programs that help vaccinate owned pets and provide resources to help owners access low cost spay and neuter.
This year we had a generous donation of $100,000 that we used to sponsor low cost spay and neuter clinics targeting the neighborhoods where 80% of shelter intake comes from.
We will be applying for grants but also need to continue leading the charge to make a difference because Kern county is a mess.
We have a massive pet overpopulation crisis and we can’t adopt, rescue or transport our way out of this. We have to help owners keep their dogs and get them fixed.
Every dollar helps and all money raised goes directly to save lives.

We’ve been extremely busy vaccinating and microchipping dogs that belong to the homeless or recently housed in local hotels.
At 4 locations over a week time frame we vaccinated and chipped 89 dogs.
When registered if ever lost or at the shelters they have a much greater chance of being returned quickly as we are also tracking them back to the local organizations that works with them.
Huge thanks to .inc for donating the chips, jackets and harnesses, Heather with for joining the volunteers and hitting the streets to help reduce shelter intake.
We are a small team that gets the job done so please share and donate if you can to help keep our small all-volunteer rescue going.

Another 8 lucky pups headed up to Washington this morning, along with the 12 that left yesterday to Hollywood and 23 on Wednesday. Thank you the LaBelle foundation, Tobies small dogs, and Pibble and All Paws Rescue for helping us save all these lives. Here are some pics of some of the lucky dogs. And thank you to all our Amazing fosters, we couldn't do it without you! We are blessed to have some of the most Amazing fosters and volunteers!! It's been a busy week!
