This is what we all strive for when bringing home a new puppy. Crate training is essential and you can see here that our pups chose to nap in their crates instead of elsewhere in the house. Although they are completely housetrianed and are allowed on furniture, at times this is where they feel the safest. We would never take their crates away from them and we continue to reward them with treats when they choose to go in them.

PSA..For anyone looking to board their pup in someone’s home or for anyone who boards pups in theirs, please watch. I tell people exactly this and get some nasty feedback at times from “hobby sitters” and “professional sitters” who think it is ok to board without a license or challenge me on the # of dogs which would require the homeowner to have a license.

USDA dog breeders are commercial dog breeders, think factory farm for puppies. These are the breeders who are legally able to ship poorly bred dogs like Amazon packages. These breeders LEGALLY keep their breeding dogs stacked in overcrowded cages in dark pole barns. They provide little to no vet care to the mother and father dogs. They can breed the females every time they go into heat. You don't want a puppy from a USDA breeder and you don't want to support their cruelty. If your breeder has a USDA license...find a new one.
