Sulley and Jess’ Fia! Sulley is in for training and is a hard player! He came in a touch worried with dog interactions, so guiding him successfully through his play and choosing appropriate interactions is imperative towards him feeling safe! He is learning in this monitored play session how to play in more of a give and take type way. Good balanced play often has to be taught and is so important for all dogs to feel comfortable and safe in their interactions .

Titan nosework

We are so proud of Titan!!! While he was boarding we worked some Scentwork with him!!! It provided enrichment, mental exercise and was a lot of fun! If you are interested in giving your dog some extra enrichment while they are boarding or in daycare email us at [email protected]

Puppy class working on leash walking, stays and come when called!!!

Maverick is working on polite greetings in dayschool (not jumping or pulling , and calmly interacting) . This is such a hard skill for a young golden to learn. He is doing awesome at it!!

Yogi practiced some important skills during his recent board and train! Yogi struggles with polite greeting, and gets very excited about people approaching and also touching him!!! We worked very hard on a solid sit stay with calm approaches, and gave him a lot of guidance about what to do when he was petted. Dogs not only need to know what NOT to do ( jump, mouth, bark) but they also need to know what you DO want them to do. Notice how much feedback Yogi got for sitting calmly and allowing touching. This is how we teach them what we DO want from them. Awesome, awesome work Yogi!!!!

So proud of these students!! Great job practicing loose leash walking while passing other dogs and walking near toys!!!!

Dayschool dog Teddy is working on loose leash walking and manners. He is working really hard at not pulling when he passes by other dogs or things that excite him! Teddy’s ability to stay is improving too as we work around distractions

Nyla can get concerned around strangers, especially men. We are working at a distance teaching her to check back in when she sees something that is worrisome to her instead of barking at it. We are also working on teaching positive associations around the things that scare her. Nyla is working good leash manners, come when called and focus while out about and stay work as well.

Penny the Labrador is working on loose leash walking amongst distractions. We went to village hardware and practiced hard!!! She is learning to wait and be patient at doors, and she’s getting a reliable recall.
