I provide Professional Pet Care Services for your animals in Upstate New York and will happily travel to your home to care for your pets and stay with them while you are away. I also offer Animal Day Care for smaller to medium sized dogs or cats in my apartment located in the heart of Baldwinsville New York. My home is clean, safe, secure, smoke free with a beautiful park to walk your dog/s conveniently located behind my apartment. Depending on your pets needs, you can choose to book me for a variety of services including: House Sitting, Drop-In visits (30 minutes), Dog Walking (30 minutes), Care for Pets with Special Needs, Doggie Day Care in your home while you are away at work, and Extended Pet Care Stays when you are visiting family friends or planning a short or long vacation. I also have four years of experience assisting pet owners by providing follow up care for dogs and cats that who experienced medical procedures. I have cared for several dogs post surgery. My experience includes: assisting pet owners with animal wound care, injury care, diabetic pet care, administering proper doses of prescribed medication to one or more pets during a booked stay, aiding animals with physical disabilities, caring for dogs and cats with skin conditions (hot spots) and allergies, caring for animals who are blind and def, helping people rehabilitate dogs with special needs focusing on dog behavior including: separation anxiety, insecurity, fear of people or other animals, experience in kindly and gently reversing dog dominance and early and late stages of behavior concerns. I also teach people how to help their dogs stop chewing on shoes, personal belongings and other household items and I offer dog feeding lessons to reteach dogs who are very protective of their food or try eating food too quickly. I also guide owners and their dogs to have a great walking experience by providing dog walking lessons to help prevent tugging, pulling, running away, prey drive, and chewing on leashes during a walk, I offer potty training lessons for dogs.
I also have experience working with Wildlife Rehabilitators, learning from them and helping them care for the animals they are rehabilitating.
Pack Leadership lessons are available for Pet Parents. I offer this as an additional service outside of your bookings. You can hire me to work with your dogs to guide and teach them excellence dog behavior. Pet Parents also learn how to become Pack Leaders. I will demonstrate how to develop positive pack leadership skills. I have a very strong understanding of dog behavior and dog communication and love teaching and helping people rehabilitate, train, understand, and communicate well with their dogs.

DAY CARE STAYS & OVERNIGHT STAYS
Services I provide for your pets. During our stay together I make sure your pets have fresh food and water, I love to play with them outside and make sure they get plenty of healthy exercise, teach them new tricks and reward them with praise and treats, take your dogs for a walk or a healthy run (depending on your dogs needs), clean and maintain your pets and your home. I also provide them with comfort during thunder storms, loud noises and fireworks. I can also bring in your mail and take out the garbage, water your plants and upkeep your home while you are away to insure that I leave your home is even cleaner than I found it upon request. I work hard to keep your pets happy, healthy and safe and keep your home in great condition! I LOVE spending quality time with all your pets and look forward to meeting them and becoming their best friend for a lifetime.
COMBINING PET CARE SERVICES
Pet care services like “House Sitting” and “Dog Walking” and “Drop-In Visits” cannot be combined and the services are treated as separate services. Please select the correct pet care service you are needing when you book your service. If you need someone to stay at your home with your pets and take them out in the yard please select “House Sitting.” If you are looking for a dog walker please select “Dog Walking” and if you need a drop-in visit please select “Drop-In Visit.” Walking your dog(s) and dropping in for 30 minutes are separate services that I am happy to provide for your pets. An additional service fee does apply for combining two services for example: House Sitting & Dog Walking.

I provide day care and overnight care for your pets. The rate for day care and overnight care is always fixed per calendar date and increases or decreases based on how many pets I am caring for in your home. Please consider that during National Holidays I have to take time away from my family and if you need a Pet Sitter during the Holidays the rates are doubled for Holidays. Holidays include: Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Years Eve & New Years Day, Memorial Day, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, July 3rd & July 4th. Short notice bookings under 24 hours are based on availability.
PETS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS
Pets who depend on us for assistance & love. I take care of animals who have special needs. I can help animals who need assistance with mobility or going potty. I also have experience administering oral or injected medication and helping animals who have medical conditions and complications that require special care. I am highly committed to caring for your pets and will provide them with love, attention, excellent care an commitment in attending to all their needs.
CARING FOR MORE THAN ONE PET & UNDERSTANDING HOW THE RATE WORKS
I am very happy to care for all your pets. When you book my Pet Care Services on Rover.com there is an initial starting rate to care for your first pet of $50. If I am staying in your home caring for your pet(s) for 1 calendar date or for an extended period of time, I am fully responsible for the well being of all the pets living in your home. The rate for 1 pet is $50 per calendar date, 2 pets is $60 per calendar date, 3 pets is $70 per calendar date. Basically each additional pet adds $10.00 to the rate per calendar date and your rate is always fixed. Pet Care rates are double for Holidays per calendar date and are based on my availability. Examples of additional pets include: dogs, cats, exotic pets, birds, fish, snakes, reptiles, bunnies, frogs, iguanas, and more.

Pet Care rates are doubled on Holidays. Please consider that during the Holidays I have to take time away from my family and if you are needing my help Pet Sitting during the Holidays the rates will be doubled for Holidays. MEET & GREETS
Meeting your Pets for the first time. I am very excited to meet you and your pets. I offer the option to meet your pets in your home or a location of your choice before booking an official pet stay. The Meet & Greet helps me learn more about your amazing pets and the Meet & Greet is an excellent opportunity to visit your pets for the first time and start building a bond with them in their natural environment - in the comfort of their own home. Your first Meet & Greet is complimentary as long as I am traveling no more than 30 miles round trip to your home and back. Additional visits to your home or residence can be booked as Drop-In Visit. Keys can be dropped off at my residence in Baldwinsville NY with no extra travel fees, travel fees only apply if I travel to your residence to pick up or drop off your keys. House Sitting, Drop-In Visits, Dog Walking, Doggie Day Care in your home, and Extended Stays outside Baldwinsville NY are also entitled to an additional fee of .50 cents per mile to cover the cost of travel expenses.
TRAVEL RADIUS & RATES
I am happy to travel to your home to care for your pets. My current travel radius is set to 100 miles starting from my home in Baldwinsville NY and traveling to your residence. I love to travel, and am willing to travel long distances beyond 100 miles to care for all your pets. Travel is .50 cents per mile round trip from my home or from where I am last booked to your home. If your home is located outside of Baldwinsville NY or Syracuse NY the travel rate does increase. Travel costs are not profit based, they help me cover travel expenses when traveling to and from your residence.
PET SAFETY & THE SAFETY OF YOUR HOME
The safety of your Pets is my #1 priority. I recommend listing all the Pets living in your home on your Rover profile individually to make sure that all your Pets are covered under Rover's Premium Insurance. I take Pet Safety very seriously and will follow your guidelines to insure your Pets are safe, secure, healthy and receive the best care during our stay together. I will also make good recommendations to help make sure that your pets are safe while you are away. I will ask you to provide a list of emergency contacts for your pets and vet information to make sure that your pets have professional medical care. I will take your Pet(s) to your preferred vet if I notice any signs of illness or concern.
PETS DIAGNOSED WITH TRAUMATIC EXPERIENCES, FEAR & ANXIETY
I understand that many animals are rescues while other animals come form animal shelters, puppy mills, poor living conditions and some pets may have experienced traumatic circumstances. I am happy to work with animals from all walks of life to help them feel safe, loved, secure, and give them the love and care they need and deserve to feel happy, safe and comfortable in my care.
ANIMAL BEHAVIOR - DOMINANCE, GROWLING, AGGRESSION & BITING
Working with an animal that has behavior concerns takes time, dedication, patience and long hours of consistent correction and follow through. Correction is also known as direction to a dog to help improve the unwanted behavior, dogs expect us "humans" to give them direction, did you know that when you give a dog direction in the dogs language you are telling your dog "I love you."
My Pet Care rates will increase if I am working with a dog or other pet that requires long hours of dependable work (direction) and follow through to correct the behavior. The rate will increase on a case by case basis. As a general rule the Pet Care rate will double for dogs with manageable behavior concerns. If your pets have serious behavior concerns, I recommend hiring a professional animal behaviorist to help guide and direct your pet and to insure that your pet has the proper & professional training they need. I do not work with dogs that have unmanageable or aggressive behavior.
Yes, I do have experience working with dogs that have very dominant behavior, insecurity, separation anxiety, fear, frustration, growling & barking at their handler or other people and animals including: snarling, mock biting, and even mild symptoms of aggression. Please understand that I do not work with aggressive dogs, cats, or other aggressive pets. If your dog displays signs of aggression, high level dominance, snarling, mock biting, growling at people or children, I will not work with your dog until you hire a professional dog behaviorist to correct the behavior.
SAME DAY BOOKINGS AND AVAILABILITY
When requesting a booking to care for your pets please be sure to give me at least 24 hours of advanced notice for Dog Walks and Drop-In Visits. Please give me at least 48 hours notice for overnight stays. For weekend pet stays, or Extended Stays of 3 days or more please give me 72 hours or more of advance notice as soon as you know the dates you are planning to book. I try my best to accommodate booking requests including last minute requests as long as I am available on the dates you request. I always do my best to help care for your pets, but I can't guarantee that I will be available if the booking request comes in on short notice or on the same day that you need me to care for your pets. I highly recommend booking in advance to reserve your dates.
CANCELLATION POLICY
A full refund will be provided if you cancel your booking 24 hours before the official booking starts. Refunds are not provided after the booking has completed or if you come back early. I commit my time and schedule to make sure that my time is 100% dedicated to the care of your pets. A refund is not provided for cancelling early or asking for a refund during or after a booking has completed. My time is very valuable and I provide refunds only on a case by case basis.
HOLIDAY CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to very high demand for Pet Sitters during the month of December and National Holidays and limited availability I do not provide any refunds if a booked stay is cancelled during the month of December or cancelled for a National Holiday.
ABOUT MARIANAS PET CARE EXPERIENCE
My love and affection for animals started as a child living in a home with a variety of pets and growing up on a farm. I took great care of the pets living in our home, they were my family, friends, companions, and playmates. I always made sure they were safe and secure, fed them, bathed and brushed them, walked our dog, nursed my pets back to health when they were sick, took them to the vet when they needed medical attention, and administered medication that was prescribed by the Veterinarian.
In the last 16 years, I helped my family raise dogs, cats, birds including: an Amazon parrot, parakeets, a cockatiel, bunnies, a hamster and fish. On the farm we took care of cows, pigs, roosters, chickens, ducks, bunnies, and honey bees. I also have experience maintaining horses (feeding, grooming, horse shoe cleaning, putting a saddle and bridle on a horse, and horseback riding).
