Meet Borsey:

A 2 year old mtn cur mix! He is dog and cat friendly, loves running and playing outside. He knows how to sit and speak. He is house and crate trained. Borsey would do best in a fenced yard with a doggie friend to play with.

We are still working on Leash training with him but he is getting better. He just gets so excited to go for a walk.

🐾 PUPPIES FOSTER NEEDED 🐾

Anyone want to foster these sweet 5 faces? The current foster they are at can no longer do it anymore!

This is why we are so hesitant about pulling dogs when we are already full. Fosters say they Will foster and then a week later they can’t do it anymore and they have no where else to go! I know things happen, life happens, but this happens more often than not.

It’s me, chipmunk . I hope you don’t mind that I borrowed a little help to write this—I’ve never sent a letter before, but this year, I have a very special wish.

Santa, I’ve been a good dog. I promise. I’ve waited patiently in the shelter, hoping someone would notice me. I’ve tried my best to be brave, even when it was scary and lonely. Then one day, a kind person took me home to foster, and for the first time in a long time, I felt safe. But it’s not forever, and that’s my wish—to find my forever family.

I dream of a place where I can stay forever, with people who will love me even when I make mistakes, who will scratch behind my ears and tell me I’m a good boy. I dream of soft blankets, long walks, and hearing someone call me theirs.

I’ve been waiting so long, Santa. I promise I’ll be the best dog if you help me find them. I’ll fill their lives with love and loyalty and remind them every day that they saved me.

Bailey went to a potential adopter Today! We did a meet and greet with their other doggie who looks just like Bailey and they did well together! They took Bailey home to see how if everything is going to workout 🙏🏽

🆘🆘🆘 HELP QUICKLY 🆘🆘🆘

We were contacted by a shelter needing absolute emergency help. A momma showed up at this house and had her puppy under the porch. (She only had one) the only option was to put them in a shelter where we all know the puppy wouldn’t survive. So my heart couldn’t say no.

However she is a young and she isn’t producing milk for the puppy to nurse! So I’m (Allison) going to have to bottle feed the puppy every two hours! 🐾 🍼

I know it’s Christmas 🎄 time and things won’t here here today but I can get by for a few days! I’m in desperate need of a heating pad, bottles, and formula!!

The Bil Jac is what I’m feeding momma dog to try and help her get more nutrition to help her produce milk 🥛

The lights turned off.
Her deadline passed.
She closed her eyes.
Her last night—alone.

Her last memories of waking up at home—alone.
Her person she loved, did not.

Her intake notes, “nervous and shaking, tail tucked hiding in the very back of her kennel.”

Almost 2 months of sleeping alone in the shelter
The last plea—the urgent list.
Someone—anyone—?
The doors shut.
Lights out.
Her story was written.
Too many good dogs,
Not enough homes.

Her deadline passed.

would she cross over the rainbow bridge not knowing what true love felt like?

MEDICAL FOSTER, RESCUE GROUP, OR ADOPTER NEEDED ‼️❤️‍🩹 please read 💔

This is Miracle. She could use a holiday miracle.
Pledges welcome here for her care & any potential rescue groups who may see this.

Miracle came into the shelter 11/27 after being dumped outside the facility and abandoned. She was brought in unable to walk & screaming crying in pain. 💔

The clinic & vet team at DeKalb have worked really hard to figure out what’s wrong & care for her.
Her diagnosis so far is:
She has had two sets of x-rays on different occasions and the views from the x-rays did not show any fractures or displacements, so it is suspected that it's just severe arthritis. She has lost significant muscle mass on her back hind legs & she needs to gain weight. She will need to start off with small walks to gain some muscle mass & slowly increase the exercise that she'll be getting. She has made significant improvement since she first came to shelter, but she is also on pain medication so that could be helping as well. She can barely walk still. Clinic team if you are reading this, THANK YOU FOR ALL U DO. She still needs to be checked one last time to rule out anything else.

This girl is making me so sad. It is suspected she is a senior & shes 40 lbs. She is sweet & shy. She could use a miracle. We would love if someone or a rescue group could help her. If you can pledge any amount in the comments towards rescue I am hoping a rescue may show interest 🎄❤️💚

UPDATE ON THE VETERAN:

We can’t thank everyone enough for your outpouring support.

We were able to put the veteran and his dog in a motel for two weeks, we were able to provide him with things he needed and help him care for his dog Bailey!

I know many people offered to foster Bailey until he got back on his feet. As much as it hurts him he has decided to give us Bailey. He isn’t sure how long it’s gonna take for him to get back on his feet and his job in North Carolina will not allow him to bring his dog. 🐶

We have had several applications come thru for Bailey. She does have a meet and greet tomorrow. I will update again after the meet and greet.

Again we truly appreciate all the support from each and everyone of you!
