Happy National Napping Day! 😴

Today’s the day we celebrate the power of naps—and we know how important they are for our pups, too! 🐶💤

When your dog comes home from daycare, don’t be surprised if they’re ready for snooze-ville! We call this the Dogtopia Daze—a sign of all the fun they had running, playing, and socializing with other pups. That’s why we also offer breaks throughout the day, giving pups a chance to cuddle with their furry besties.

“JT here from K9s for Warriors to share my first training update with you! 🐶 I am so grateful for your support! Thank you for believing in me to become the best Service Dog possible!
I’ve been trying to figure out this crazy Florida weather lately. One day it’s 85 degrees, and the next, it’s in the 50s! 🌞❄️ It’s much different than where I was before, but I don’t mind—I still get to work and play no matter what!
Lately, I’ve been learning some new things, like an intro to a brace, which pairs with my stand command. This means my handler can use me for a little extra support when getting up or sitting down. My trainer says a lot of warriors have knee and back problems, so being able to help them in this way is a huge blessing. I love knowing that my training will make a real difference for my future person!
I’ve also had a few different trainers working with me over the past couple of weeks. Since I’ve been working on my excitable greetings (especially with women) and sometimes have accidents, my trainer wanted to see if practicing with different handlers in new situations would help. Some days, I totally nail it with no accidents at all! Other times, I still get a little unsure, but any progress is a step in the right direction. We’re taking it one greeting at a time! On the bright side, I continue to be a rockstar ⭐ with my loose leash walking, auto sits, and downs. My stays have gotten so much better, and my impulse control is slowly improving too!
I’ve been to a few department stores and even went out for lunch, where people kept telling me what a good boy I was—and let me tell you, I got so many treats! 🦴🍖
One of my biggest challenges recently was visiting a place called Sunshine Park. It had a skate park, tennis courts, a running track, and volleyball courts—so much activity everywhere! There were families, dogs, and all sorts of distractions. It was really tough to focus on my tasks, but I tried my best and got some great training in.
I’m excited to keep learning and improving, and I can’t wait to share more updates with you soon. Thanks for following along on my journey!
