HE WAITS

Last week I woke from a mid summer night
With a most peaceful feeling while lying in my bed
Standing bedside with his head near my side I saw him in the dim light
I felt his presence, looked deep into his eyes and knew it was him

Was it really him or am I dreaming, I wondered
No, it was him, no doubt, he had came back to check on me
I turned to look up at the ceiling, to comprehend my find
Looking back in a flash to call his name, he was gone as suddenly as he appeared

He was there the night, he came to me, to tell me he was o.k.
In the dark of that night, he came to me
I saw the softness of his eyes, he was free from pain and age, I knew it was him
I closed my eyes to try to sleep as the tears ran down my cheeks

Congratulations to Dixiana's Rock N Roll Rebel Rouser and owner Sharon Long on his Altered Reserve Winners Dog win at the 2015 ASCA Nationals in Shelbyville, Tennessee! Huge thanks to highly respected judge Lynn Hamon for this recognition. Breeder/Handler Diane Saltzman handled Rebel to his win.

What does a mommie do after the pups leave the house? She goes to the IABCA Show and wins Best of Show Bred By! Good girl Tori, we are so proud of you! And congratulations to her son Nick who not only won Best of Breed Puppy twice, but also a Group 3 Herding Puppy. Congratulations to owner Janine Terry-White! Today at the Rolla Kennel Club Show, Tori, aka Torbay's Jersey Girl Of Dixiana won Winners Bitch under Judge Karen Martin.
The best part was my husband was there to see the win, as he is her favorite human. Dixiana is owner/ co breeder with Torbay Australian Shepherds. Yeah Tori!

Ten to twelve inches of snow predicted today, and it is really coming down now. Museum closed, and I have a lot to do while I am home, getting taxes started, baking, laundry, etc.... A catch-up day of sorts. And can't forget those snow photos of the Aussies....we love those snow photos!

To all of my dog and horse friends, may you all have a wonderul Christmas, and a happy and healthy new year! 2012 was an outstanding year in the show rings and then to top it off Rowdy has been honored with a ASCA Hall of Fame Sire award. We have puppies on their way and I know many of you are interested in them, so inquire away. Check out the website for upcoming litter information. As soon as the holidays are over with I want to know who all is coming to Purina in Apirl for the USASA Nationals. And if you come to St. Louis anytime in the future, stop in and see me at the American Kennel Club Musuem of the Dog. Disco began his breeding career this year, and his offspring is very nice. And of course, we have Tori, the Terror, our new show entry, she will be at the Nationals in April.
