For our Montgomery County friends, please be safe when visiting these areas of the Potomac! Be sure that you and your pets avoid the water and especially avoid the algae.

The algae mats were detected in the Potomac River in the area from Edwards Ferry to Great Falls, officials said. Here's how to keep pets safe.

Today we are highlighting our Client Service Representative Amanda!

Amanda has been with the MD SPCA for about 13 years! She's an instrumental member of our team where she ensures our clients and patients are treated with the upmost care and respect.

Fun Facts: Amanda was our Employee of the Month for April! She is an animal lover who has 3 dogs, 2 cats, a tank full of fish, and a pond where wild turtles took up residence.

We're very thankful and proud to have Amanda on our team!
