We lost our sweet Dutchy today. Rest easy sweet boy. We are going to miss you so much baby 😭. Dutchy gave me a kiss while he was lying in my arms, just as he started to slip away. I’d like to think of that kiss as his way of saying good bye and thanking me for the wonderful life we strived every day to give him. I also hope he knew how much we loved him. Holding him in my arms as we waited for him to take his last breath, completely broke my heart. I just can’t believe he’s gone now. It all happened so fast and we didn’t see this coming at all. This isn’t fair…Dutchy was loved by so many people and made everyone that ever met him, smile. He had an impact on so many people’s lives. He was always the most amazing dog in the world to us. Gentle, goofy, friendly and a total sugar bear. The last 7 years of our lives since we brought him home, have been some of the happiest years he have ever experienced. Despite how bad this hurts, I still think it was all worth it. The only thing I regret is not having more time with this amazing soul. I just wish his body had been stronger and able to support his huge heart. He took a piece of our hearts with him when he died. Love you always and forever baby boy 🥰😘😭

So we have some bad news to report. Did the ultrasound today and Nika isn’t pregnant 🙁. This sucks and is extremely discouraging given the amount of time, effort and money, we have put into trying to make this happen. That’s the way breeding goes sometimes I guess. We will be trying again in the spring along with making a few changes to help increase our odds for success.

We only have another week to go until it’s time for Nika’s pregnancy scan!!!!! I cannot tell you enough how excited I am about this. Platinum Thunder & North County Nika babies coming soon hopefully. Is Thunder going to strike again? Stay tuned!!!!
