MAS Rescue

MAS Rescue MAS Rescue is a small group, we are dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals. We are run by volu The animals hope to hear from you soon.

The Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Organization (MAS Rescue, Inc.) was founded in 2005 by Mary Snyder to fulfill her dream and passion to save animals from unnecessary euthanasia in over-crowded shelters. MAS Rescue is a small group that is dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out and whose destiny is deemed perilous. An all volunteer organization, we have a passion

ate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible and work tirelessly to provide all the love and care they need. MAS Rescue has rescued and placed over 8500 dogs and cats in loving forever homes. Animals come to us from local shelters, some from distant shelters, while still others are displaced homeless animals found wandering the streets. We rescue, treat and rehabilitate animals through placement in volunteer foster homes for the purpose of eventual adoption into permanent homes that are loving and responsible. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to everyday family life. We take each animal for a vet check, have them vaccinated, de-wormed etc... If an animal is 22 weeks or more they will always be altered. We require an adoption application, a signed contract and a fee. We will complete regular follow-up, including veterinarian follow-up on your new companion. If you are interested in adopting any of our furry four-legged friends, e-mail us for an adoption application. Please keep in mind: We will not ship animals, but will consider reasonable transport for the perfect home! Thanks for considering adoption from a rescue organization!

I am unharmed and safe in the eastern Kentucky floods, but unfortunately many of my nearby neighbors and folks in surrounding counties cannot say the same. 💔

Kentucky and some adjacent states got rocked with yet another historic flood. We barely got time to catch our breath from the last one. These foothills and my heart sure are hurtin’ from the damage caused to our land and to the homes that those have worked so hard for. But, most importantly we hurt because of the loss of our people. This region has some of the finest, kindest, and most selfless individuals and they need our help right now. 🫶🏽

If ya’d be so kind and are able to, check out and donate at https://secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Finance/stormrelief I’d sure appreciate it. Or send a dollar or two to ANY Appalachian flood relief effort. If ya can’t help out monetarily, consider rollin’ up your sleeves and make sure ya send us all the best vibes, love, energy, thoughts, and prayers as we navigate the aftermath of these waters. ❤️‍🩹

I will also include a photo in the comments of a running document list related to flooding needs and a few other reputable organizations to donate to. I will continue to update with resources on my story, too.

I also ask y’all to stay informed and don’t forget about this when it’s no longer on the news. Don’t forget about those who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. This is gonna be a lengthy process that needs continued, ongoing efforts and attention! ❤️

We got this. We always do. Appalachia strong! 💪

Happy Valentines Day!!

💘Neuter Your Ex For Valentines Day! 😻

Well kind of…….For a $25 donation to our program, we will name a gal or guy feral cat after your ex and take away their ability to procreate! 💐

What could be a better way to celebrate love than by preventing more heartache and overpopulation in shelters?! ❤️‍🩹

Simply go onto our website, make a $25 donation (or maybe you can afford to account for allllll of your heartaches?) and write the persons name in the optional comment box.

Each week we will post pictures of the spayed felines along with their “name.” Help save kitty lives and have a full heart of love knowing you got revenge in the best possible way ❤️‍🔥

ADOPTED!!

It’s Tiki’s turn! Let’s find her the very best home! Tiki is the perfect companion. She is ready for whatever you are. Maybe you want to go for a 5K hike…no problem. Maybe you want to watch a movie or read a book, she’s fine with that too, just make sure you share the blankets! Tiki’s vet records say she is 7 years, but she is spry, lively, playful, and easily jumps on the bed, and off the couch! 😉 Stairs are not a problem. She has short hair that does not require trimming. She’s very loving, likes to be with her person, she’s good on her house training, and rides well in a car. She does pull on the leash, and tries to chase squirrels, so she needs a sturdy ‘handler’ during walks. Tiki is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines. She weighs between 12 and 15 lbs. Easily portable. She is currently fostered with both cats and dogs and keeps the peace. If interested in adopting Tiki, please email me at [email protected].
