I am unharmed and safe in the eastern Kentucky floods, but unfortunately many of my nearby neighbors and folks in surrounding counties cannot say the same. 💔
Kentucky and some adjacent states got rocked with yet another historic flood. We barely got time to catch our breath from the last one. These foothills and my heart sure are hurtin’ from the damage caused to our land and to the homes that those have worked so hard for. But, most importantly we hurt because of the loss of our people. This region has some of the finest, kindest, and most selfless individuals and they need our help right now. 🫶🏽
If ya’d be so kind and are able to, check out and donate at https://secure.kentucky.gov/formservices/Finance/stormrelief I’d sure appreciate it. Or send a dollar or two to ANY Appalachian flood relief effort. If ya can’t help out monetarily, consider rollin’ up your sleeves and make sure ya send us all the best vibes, love, energy, thoughts, and prayers as we navigate the aftermath of these waters. ❤️🩹
I will also include a photo in the comments of a running document list related to flooding needs and a few other reputable organizations to donate to. I will continue to update with resources on my story, too.
I also ask y’all to stay informed and don’t forget about this when it’s no longer on the news. Don’t forget about those who were impacted by Hurricane Helene. This is gonna be a lengthy process that needs continued, ongoing efforts and attention! ❤️
We got this. We always do. Appalachia strong! 💪
