MAS Rescue

MAS Rescue MAS Rescue is a small group, we are dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals. We are run by volu The animals hope to hear from you soon.

The Maryland Animal Sanctuary & Rescue Organization (MAS Rescue, Inc.) was founded in 2005 by Mary Snyder to fulfill her dream and passion to save animals from unnecessary euthanasia in over-crowded shelters. MAS Rescue is a small group that is dedicated to helping unwanted shelter animals whose time has run out and whose destiny is deemed perilous. An all volunteer organization, we have a passion

ate desire to save as many shelter animals as possible and work tirelessly to provide all the love and care they need. MAS Rescue has rescued and placed over 8500 dogs and cats in loving forever homes. Animals come to us from local shelters, some from distant shelters, while still others are displaced homeless animals found wandering the streets. We rescue, treat and rehabilitate animals through placement in volunteer foster homes for the purpose of eventual adoption into permanent homes that are loving and responsible. They are socialized with children, other animals, and are exposed to everyday family life. We take each animal for a vet check, have them vaccinated, de-wormed etc... If an animal is 22 weeks or more they will always be altered. We require an adoption application, a signed contract and a fee. We will complete regular follow-up, including veterinarian follow-up on your new companion. If you are interested in adopting any of our furry four-legged friends, e-mail us for an adoption application. Please keep in mind: We will not ship animals, but will consider reasonable transport for the perfect home! Thanks for considering adoption from a rescue organization!

ADOPTED!!

It’s Tiki’s turn! Let’s find her the very best home! Tiki is the perfect companion. She is ready for whatever you are. Maybe you want to go for a 5K hike…no problem. Maybe you want to watch a movie or read a book, she’s fine with that too, just make sure you share the blankets! Tiki’s vet records say she is 7 years, but she is spry, lively, playful, and easily jumps on the bed, and off the couch! 😉 Stairs are not a problem. She has short hair that does not require trimming. She’s very loving, likes to be with her person, she’s good on her house training, and rides well in a car. She does pull on the leash, and tries to chase squirrels, so she needs a sturdy ‘handler’ during walks. Tiki is spayed, microchipped, and current on vaccines. She weighs between 12 and 15 lbs. Easily portable. She is currently fostered with both cats and dogs and keeps the peace. If interested in adopting Tiki, please email me at [email protected].

So very sad to hear of Joe’s passing. We met when he and Beth adopted Polly, a rescue dog from MAS Rescue. He then became one of our greatest supporters. For four years, we held a fundraiser at the 8x10, Music for Mutts, he and his band Mr. Greengenes would attend with many other local talented artists, as well. He was a gentle soul, kind hearted, and uber talented!! I will always remember you Joseph Marion! Your words echo in my thoughts often, RIP 🙏🏼❤️🐾

Sophie, available for adoption!! Her foster mom says: This little girl just wants a person to love. She’s playful, but very happy to sit on your lap for some TV time. She loves belly rubs and actually talks to you if you stop rubbing before she’s ready for you to be done! She seems to get along with my two 20ish pound dogs, but does seem to be a little possessive and lets them know it’s her time to snuggle, not theirs! She’s potty trained, a bit rough on the leash, but LOVES to go for walks! Please send an email for more information and an adoption application: [email protected]. Please Share…
