The 12 Dogs of Christmas
#1 (drumroll please) The All-American Mutt
Meet Sweetie the Schnoodle, China the Chow mix, Riley, Dash and Milo the Heeler x Dachshund brothers, Betty the Greyhound mix, and Willie the Heinz 57 mighty mix.
What can I say about mixed breeds? They are uniquely individual. Depending on the mix some can display natural behaviors of some of the purebred parentage such as a high prey drive, pointing, herding, nipping, or trailing, to name a few. Overall, they are healthier as many genetic health problems common to purebreds can be eliminated with a crossbreed, thus helping them to live longer. Consider this: shelters and rescues are overflowing with these unique, adorable, one-of-a-kind dogs that make the best pets ever. Adopting a mix breed is so rewarding and offers people and families the most wonderful family addition. Loyal, loving, affectionate, and just the best overall dogs. Visit your local shelter in person or online and see what one-of-a-kind dog awaits you. Always spay and neuter to help control the pet overpopulation problem, be a forever home committed to the lifetime of the dog, keep current ID/microchips on your dogs, and adopt don't shop. Merry Christmas. See you next year.
