Your generosity and loyalty to the pets and people of the Bangor Humane Society accomplishes the goal of serving and saving more than 2,000 animals every year. A huge thanks to our friend Zack at Harvest Moon Delis for hosting this chat with us and for asking Kipping Media to capture our story about the WHY of our work as we celebrated the success of the 31st Paws on Parade. π₯°πΆπ±β€οΈ

...and then come see us today from 12-6pm to find out whether your new best friend is here!
UPDATE 3/9: Your donations have reached a little over $3,300!!! That means more than $6,000 earned for Shakra's care so far! I know we can get to $5,000 and earn that whole match. Keep going and THANK YOU!!!
DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT!! THANKS TO AN ANONYMOUS DONOR, YOUR GIFTS TO SHAKRA'S CARE WILL BE DOUBLED UNTIL APRIL 1ST! A GENEROUS FRIEND OF BHS HAS OFFERED TO MATCH UP TO $5,000!
Shakra the cat has been with us for a year. Though she presented as healthy at the time of her surrender, we soon learned she is diabetic. We've worked hard with local partner vets and managed one hurdle at a time on her way to health. Though she is already 10 years old, she's still got lots of good time left, and our hope is to get her blood sugar under control so she can soon find a home. The bills for her care have already exceeded $10,000, and we anticipate needing a few more months before she can be adopted. Every dollar matters, and all gifts will be matched up to $5,000! The deadline to reach this goal is April 1. Together, we can do it!
Click to donate on Facebook, or visit our website at donations.bangorhumane.org and note Shakra's name as a comment.
Thank you!
Friends, Chance is still here and would love to find his forever home. β€οΈπΆβ€οΈ
While we are closed today, we still wanted to remind you that this buddy is still looking for his fur-ever home! He's got a little stranger danger and is apparently a first class escape artist, so a rural setting with no other animals in the home would best for him. Look at this handsome boi! Could you be the right fit, or do you know anyone who might be? Chance is also a part of our #MVPMutts collaboration with Maine Veterans Project!

Raising money for animals doesnβt always stink!
Love Litters reveal!!
Weβre cleaning cat kennels on Valentineβs Day, which means weβre placing the name(s) you told us to use under the cats! We canβt all celebrate the same way, right? Donβt bother with flowers and chocolates, Bodhi and his friends are here to help make this day super special. π€£πββ¬π©π€£
From all of us, to all of you, we wish you a holiday full of cuddles and joy.
