It’s Feel Good Friday! The dogs told us they really wanted to find a way to give back to the community after ALL the community does for us. So, they checked their pockets, rooted around under their dog beds, and put together enough change* to buy turkeys for the turkey drive! They figured since there were ten dogs available for adoption at 7am this morning, then we should bring ten turkeys. And that’s just what we did! Shadow was elected spokesdog, and visited Z107.3 with Kathryn this morning. He did a GREAT job promoting the Turkey Drive and probably earned a few fans. Especially Kid and Katie!

*by “change” we mean dog food crumbs and bits of milkbone treats, so we did have to make up the difference in real cash, but their hearts were in the right place!

It's Feel Good Friday, y'all! And we've got a good one for you.

Today is world kindness day, and we can ALL agree that we can use more of it. You know who's the best at kindness? Like, bar none, the absolute greatest? Animals. They live in the moment. They forgive instantly. They love forever. They do their very best to share their joy with us every day through play bows, slobbery kisses, biscuit-making, purrs, and lots and LOTS of cozy snuggles.

In honor of World Kindness Day, we have two challenges for you:

1. Treat everyone you meet today with kindness. Let that guy pass you on the highway. Slow down so that pedestrians can safely cross the street. Let someone go ahead of you at the bank or the grocery store. Tip the person at the drive-through window, even if it's just with a warm thank you. Smile at people. Say hello first. Ask people how they are and mean it. Channel your inner dog or cat or rabbit and try to remember that we're all doing our best out here.

2. Post a picture of you with your pet. Do us all a kindness by sharing your best bud(s) with us today. Pretty please?
