Having a ruff day? Well, dog-gone it, we've got the fix. Moose, Midas, Sprinkles, Jasmine, and Pepper Jack are ALL the best dog ever. That's just . Have you ever looked at a dog you just met and known you loved them ? (For me, it's every dog I've ever met, but you do you!) Trust us, it's a thing. If you don't believe in love at first sight, we invite you to come in and test the theory. And if you're still looking for that soul companion, today could be your lucky day. Come see us.

Everyone who lives in your household must also visit with a dog before an adoption can be finalized. Your landlord must give permission for you to adopt a pet if you rent. We'll need a valid id, an adoption fee, and a pinky swear that you'll take care of them ALMOST as well as they'll take care of you. We currently have TWENTY SEVEN cats available for adoption here at BHS. TWENTY SEVEN!! Now that the holidays are behind us and our budgets are once again freed up for the finer things in life, it's time to stop fantasizing and ADOPT!

What do they need? It varies from cat to cat. Some are young and have no remarkable needs at all other than the need for a cozy, loving home. Others may be part of a bonded pair, may have a more reticent personality requiring time to adjust, or may have some medical needs. We'll be glad to tell you everything you need to know! What do we need from you? A valid id, an okay from your landlord if you rent, payment for the adoption fee, and the willingness to open yourself to joy. SO EASY! ***A reminder that our schedule will shift for the holidays and our hours this coming week will be limited.***

So you can plan your week around all things animals, please be aware that our schedule will change in observance of the holidays to give our very busy and dedicated staff some much needed rest and time with families. As always, the pets of the shelter will get lots of TLC from a smaller staff and familiar volunteers.

We are currently short staffed and will be closing the shelter at 5pm today. Our Winter Operating Hours, effective immediately, are 1pm-5pm Monday-Saturday, with the exception of days we are closed over the holidays. Thank you for your patience.
