Summer is here, so it is imperative that we all take precautions with our pets' safety and health during the summer heat. Remember, the asphalt or concrete outside can easily burn your dogs' paws during the heat of the day. If you can't hold your hand on the ground for 10 seconds, it is unsafe to walk your dog on. Always check the ground, even if you think it is cool enough.

Had a great time with Stitch and Tonya this week. Stitch was perfect as usual, and young Tonya learned how to sit on command with treats and positive reinforcement.
I’m not a certified dog trainer, but I am quite good at teaching dogs to sit.

Clarabelle just couldn’t believe that I would want to sit down for just a moment after our walk to take a photo before playing tug with her. She was just so pretty in the morning light, I had to capture her beauty on camera!

I've been having such a great time pet sitting this little boy! At only 12 weeks old, he can't go to a boarding facility until he finishes all of his vaccines.
This works out in everyone's favor though! I have been able to reinforce good puppy behavior in the home on each one of my visits. We practice leash-walking on his back patio, reinforce his house training by rewarding him each time he goes potty outside, and work on his "sit" command. Additionally, he gets lots of playtime and enrichment to keep him happy and occupied.

I love pet sitting! Maria’s dad has to go out of town a lot, but Maria gets so stressed in boarding facilities. The boarding facility tried to keep Maria happy, but she wasn’t having any of it.
I am able to provide Maria with quality care and love in her own home while her dad is away. This keeps her and her brother, Jimmy, happy, stress-free, and healthy.

My in-home pet visits are $30 for a 30-minute visit and $55 for an hour visit. This includes administering any necessary medications, cleaning up any pet messes, scooping litter boxes, exercise and play time, and enrichment activities.
