We are looking for towel donations! As you can imagine we go through lots and lots of towels in a day. We are asking for any bath or beach sized towels and we know beggars can’t be choosers, but please no holes or tears - little paws get stuck in holes and strings are very enticing to nibble on. We greatly appreciate any towel donations. *We have plently of blankets, sheets and comforters* Thanks in advance! 🐾

Right on time! It’s also time to make sure that you have your pets on monthly heart worm, flea and tick prevention. Check out our online pharmacy for sales and specials! You can access our pharmacy by visiting our website northwestcornervet.com

It's that time of year again! The warm weather means that we can finally get outside with our pets and enjoy the beautiful weather! The warm weather also brings the return of many insects and pests. Don't forget your flea and tick prevention. We have many options from oral to topical and collars! If you have any questions about which is best for you and your pet ask one of our staff members and we will be happy to help!
Another sure sign of spring is fly bites. Fly bites typically appear as circular welts on your pet's abdomen. These bites are generally not painful or irritating. While they can be alarming to see, most bites will resolve on their own after 3-5 days with no treatment.
The welts from the fly bites are often mistaken as a tick bite/Lyme disease bullseye. Lyme disease does not show in dogs with the classic bullseye lesion.
As always, if you have any questions about what you may be seeing on your pet, please call the office.
