Please do not do donuts in our parking lot 🐾

Your might end up in a ruff spot with our fence or a tree

Please be careful when coming out to the park in inclement weather. We thank the members who do get out there and go above and beyond to help our other members get into the park more easily. Some of your pups really love this kind of weather! ❄️ 🐶

🎄 Calling All Bourbon City Bark Park Members! 🎅

Get ready to spread holiday cheer! This Thursday, December 5th, we’ll proudly represent the park in the Bardstown Christmas Parade. 🎉

🐾 Who Can Participate?

-Registered park members with up-to-date vaccinations.
-Dogs must be leashed at all times, and owners are responsible for their dogs' behavior.
-Participating dogs should be comfortable with loud noises, flashing lights, crowds, and children.

🚶‍♀️ The Parade Route:
The walk is just over a mile, meeting at City firehouse and Tiger Alley on W. Broadway/ N. 5th. The route heads down W. Broadway where you turn right on to N. 3rd St at Baskin Robbins. You then walk all of North 3rd St/Main St until the parade ends on W. Stephen Foster. After the parade is over, it is then each individuals responsibility to find their own way off the road and back to where they and their dog(s) need to be to leave or enjoy the rest of the parade.

🕠 Important Details:

Plan for off-site parking and walking to our meeting spot (we are spot #10)
Meet up no later than 5:30 PM. The parade starts at 6:00 PM.
Line up/ meeting at the BCBP stake number can begin after 3:30 PM.
For safety and holiday spirit, add some lights to you and your pup!

🎅 Can’t Walk? Cheer Us On!
If walking isn’t your thing, join the fun as a spectator—this is a community event for everyone to enjoy!

Let’s make this a night to remember and support our very own Wilma Pittman Sorrell, for always putting on a great parade, but for making it even more magical this year. If you’re interested in walking with us, send us a message, and we’ll get you all the details.

🚨 Winter Water Shut-Off Notice 🚨

Hey, Bourbon City Bark Park Members!

With freezing temperatures on the way, it’s time to prepare the park for winter. This Thursday, our trusty plumber, Noah Jordan, will be shutting off the water and blowing out the lines to protect the pipes from damage during the colder months.

Here’s what you need to know:
Starting Thursday, the park’s water will remain off until spring.
Please bring water for your dog whenever you visit the park. It will be your responsibility to keep them hydrated.

We hope you’ll still enjoy the park this fall and winter! Many dogs (and their humans) love the cooler weather and have just as much fun—if not more—during this time of year.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

Here’s some photos from our Howl-O-Ween Movie Night and Dog Adoption this past Saturday!! Thank you to all who attended that and our previous weekends K-9 event!

🐶 SOME ARE STILL UP FOR ADOPTION AND AT VERY DISCOUNTED IF NOT FREE TO ADOPT WITH APPROVED APPLICATION. 🐶

This was a very successful event that we hope to have more of in the future! This family-friendly dog event saw many visitors with interest in the adoptable dogs, interest in membership to the bark park, and other resources they didn’t know were available, like fostering!

We ended the night with a movie night in the dog park! Hocus Pocus and Scooby Doo 2 were crowd pleasers! The smiling faces are why we love to do these community events at the park!

We hope to unveil our new website soon where you can see our full list of events on the calendar.

Thank you to all of the wonderful volunteers! And congratulations 🎉 to the winners of the costume contest and raffle baskets!! Judging a dog costume contest is one of the hardest things ever, okay?

We are rescheduling our Paws with Claus that was going to be on Dec 1 , 12-3 pm to TBA with an event INSIDE with our Santa for pics and partnered with Nelson County KY Animal Control and Shelter

We will also be having our 3rd Annual K-9 Showcase event in May, 2025 and unveil a dediction to Jason Ellis and his loyal K-9 Figo.

Keep an eye out for that event and some awesome raffles and giveaways! 🎁
