Bardstown Veterinary Clinic has been serving the Nelson County community for over 25 years. Dr. Truman Tipton practiced both large and small animal medicine and surgery here until 2004 when he sold the practice to Dr. Seibert. After completing her education at Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Seibert brought her knowledge back home to Kentucky and worked with Dr. Truman Tipton. Having ga

ined a year's experience, she then moved to Louisville where she worked at Sims Animal Hospital in Fern Creek for three years. While working at Middletown Animal Clinic during the following ten years, Dr. Seibert decided to move back to Bardstown. After a few years of commuting, she realized opening a practice in Bardstown was the most positive career move she could make. After many discussions with Dr. Tipton, who was retiring, Dr. Seibert decided to open Bardstown Veterinary Clinic as her very own

Dr. Seibert is a longtime resident of Bardstown and the Nelson County area. As a 1982 graduate of Bethlehem High School, she attended Elizabethtown Community College where she received an Associates degree. She then moved onto Morehead State University until being accepted to Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated Cum Laude in 1990.

It's late on Caturday, but I'd like to dedicate this one to our own Jaguar. Many of you will remember his orange paw underneath the door of the exam room hoping someone would send his toy back to him. Or maybe you heard him crying in the back of the clinic because he couldn't see anybody. Wherever he was in the clinic, he was causing problems! We learned at the beginning of the year that Jaguar had gone in to kidney failure. We kept him supported with proper nutrition and daily fluids, but as time went on it became too much for him to cope with and come back from. Today we said goodbye to Jaguar and we wish him a warehouse full of food to break into!!

Good morning Facebook Family! I think most everybody knows by now that it is going to get brutally cold this weekend. Your pets and livestock might not know though. Please be aware of your indoor and outdoor animals and their needs this weekend. If you can't bring your animals inside, please be sure to provide insulated shelter and bedding. Cats especially will seek out shelter inside vehicles so make sure to bang on hoods before starting engines. Check your outside pets' water as well; proper hydration is still needed in cold weather.
