The goal of Shar-Pei Rescue of VA is to help rehabilitate and re-home shelter Shar-Pei, Shar-Pei in situations of cruelty and neglect or simply families that can no longer care for their Chinese Shar-Pei.

Hi, I’m Diamond! I am sweet, gentle black female Shar-Pei, about four years old. I went on quite a long journey when I came into Rescue, with so many nice people helping me and did very well with the long car trip. I enjoy riding in the car.

Foster Mommy says that I am a good girl, polite and well mannered. I am totally housebroken. I don’t bother anything when left inside alone for hours.

I want to happily hang out with Foster Mom inside or outside and love to gently play with my human. I am okay with most other dogs.

Hap-Pei Charlie Brown (aka Dewey), adopted 2025, is such a smart boy learning the obstacle course! Looks like so much fun! He is doing terrific and has settled into his forever home. He loves his people, going for walks, playing with his tennis balls, and going to dog training school. We are so hap-pei for Dewey and his furever family ❤❤❤

Anyone want to play 😀? I'm Bentley! I’m a sweet, happy young boy eager to make friends with everyone!

I’m house-trained and getting the hang of crate training. I’m enthusiastic about learning and love treats as motivation. I’ve even mastered “fetch”… when I feel like playing, of course! 😀 I’m a sociable pup and get along well with my doggy pals, currently living with two eight-year-old female Shar-Pei.

We love this video! This is our Mimi, who came into our Rescue with a pelvic fracture last year after being hit by a car in NYC. She was found to be deaf after arriving, and her Foster Mommy has been working with her using a training collar and hand signals. This is a wonderful video explaining how her collar and hand signals work. Please watch! She looks absolutely wonderful...looks like she much prefers being a country gal! Mimi recently had a seizure and is 9-10 years old now; so to keep her safe and not stress her with another move, she will be staying with her Foster Mommy furever. She is A-OK with that🥰. Congratulations Mimi and her Mom!❤❤❤

🤣Toast..."helping" his Dad mulch the leaves 🤣. Adorable Toast was one of the 12 Shar-Pei that we rescued late this summer. Toast had his entropion and neuter surgeries and has been adopted by his loving foster family. He is doing great and is obviously enjoying life! ❤❤❤❤
