Did you know February is National Pet Dental Health Month?!
Tooth resorption is just one of the concerns we see when performing dentals. Greater than half of all cats older than 3 years old will have at least one tooth affected, it is less common in dogs however something to still be on lookout for. Dental x-rays are essential in diagnosing tooth resorption and in assessing the severity of the grade (as seen pictured below.) For more information on tooth resorption, dental care, and dentals, please don't hesitate to give our office a call or mention it to your doctor at your next visit!
