Rest Easy K9 Jazz 💙🖤

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of retired Lamar County Sheriff’s Office K9 Jazz. K9 Jazz served the people of Lamar County beginning in June of 2016, first with Handler Deputy Anthony Thompson and was later assigned to Deputy Justyn Weaver. During that time K9 Jazz specialized in narcotics detection, as well as tracking and apprehension. She provided K9 services to agencies within Lamar County as well as surrounding counties. K9 Jazz retired from service in November 2021 with her handler Justyn Weaver where she lived until her passing on Tuesday January 21st. We are grateful for her service and know she will be greatly missed.
