Dental care is so important and often times overlooked. Overtime enamel points develop in a horses mouth. If not taken care of on a yearly basis these can cause ulcers and sores in the mouth. This also prevent normal equine mastication from occurring which means the horse may not be getting all the nutrients from their feed. In the pictures you can see buccal enamel points (cheek side) before being floated and after.
