We have news that is equal parts exciting and upsetting.

We racked our brains trying to figure out how to do it but have ultimately come to the decision that we can’t open the store this season! The very good news is that it’s because we were awarded a Working Lands Grant in order to renovate the rest of the barn! Once we met with contractors and started the demolition we came to the harsh realization that the structural issues were much more widespread than we initially thought. So what does this mean for our lovely, dedicated old soul farm customers? We thank you in advance for being patient and giving us this year to focus on completing this massive project.

And another thank you to everyone who has reached out and checked in on us, we miss you too 😊

Bomboloni are looking great this morning! Flavors are mixed berry jam and coconut lime cream.
They’ll be out in the bakery case when we open.

The store is stocked with greens mix, kale, chard, carrots, beets and a bunch of other stuff. Come get them while you can!

Dear doughnut fans,

We are excited to announce Bomboloni are back this Sunday!

This is definitely one of our favorite parts of the year! We are harvesting the last few things out of the field and are starting to get our first harvests out of the greenhouses.

The store is stocked with carrots, beets, radishes, turnips, lettuce mix, kale, chard, ginger, celery, parsley, scallions, brussels sprouts, potatoes, onions, bacon, cheese and the freezer is full of chicken and ground beef.

After this weekend(11/6) we are switching to our fall hours. We’ll be open every weekend Saturday and Sunday 10am - 5pm and closed during the week!

Look at all the colors! We have ginger, turmeric, radishes, turnips, carrots, beets, lettuce mix, kale, celery, parsley, scallions, bell peppers and more in the cooler.
Potatoes, winter squash and onions are stocked as well.
There’s organic ground beef in the freezer and Maple Wind Chicken will be back next week.
We also have the last of the red and green tomatoes as well!

This will be the last week for some of our most popular summer crops like tomatoes, cucumbers, and beans so get them while you can!

Grab what you need for the weekend!

The cooler is full of vegetables, raspberries, pickles, dilly beans, mozzarella, cheddar and feta among other things.

We have bacon, chicken and ground beef should be restocked within the next day or two.

There’s onions, potatoes, chocolate chip cookies and snapdragon bouquets as well!

Within in the next few days we’ll have melons and our first pumpkins of the year!

Raspberry Ginger Jam and Lemon Cream filling for todays bomboloni!

We have snapdragon bouquets and the cooler is fully restocked!

Also we just added dilly beans to the cooler! Along with our sour pickles these are made using a process called lacto-fermentation. It’s sounds scientific but its actually very simple. We make a brine of salt and water and pour it over whatever we are preserving and add seasoning. Then we wait about 3-4 days and we’ve got pickles! Keep them refrigerated and they’ll last about 6 months in the fridge.

Give them a try next time you stop by!

First ever sweet corn in the store now!

In the past we haven’t had enough space to grow all the things we’ve wanted. We only had about an acre of land to work with. Now that we have access to more land we’ve doubled our growing space to about two acres! This means we have the room to grow corn, melons, winter squash, pumpkins etc. which we didn’t have the space to grow in the past!

We also have so many tomato’s, potatoes and the cooler is completely full with so many other things!

The cooler is overflowing with so much produce, flower bouquets have been restocked, the tomato shelf is loaded with tomatoes, bakery case is full of chocolate chip and lemon sugar cookies and so much more!

This week’s bomboloni (sourdough doughnut) filling is raspberry & black currant jam! Come grab a couple before we sell out 😜

A couple things to know:
- all the fruit used in the jam is grown and picked by us on the farm
- sourdough means the dough is naturally leavened (instead of using commercial yeast) and it’s been fermented = easier for your stomach to digest the gluten
- we use local & organic ingredients as much as possible in our baked goods (the flours are organic from Nitty Gritty in Charlotte, organic sugar, eggs from our farm, the butter is Vermont Creamery, and they’re fried in organic coconut oil)
