Our March Volunteer Education is being presented by Dr. Sara Svetich. She is currently the Director of Helping Hand School, a school serving children with disabilities in the Chicagoland area. Growing up with horses and competing in horseback riding, she developed a passion for the connection between movement, healing, and horses. Now a pediatric physical therapist and Director of School Services, she also shares her love for wellness as a yoga instructor for both kids and adults, and a fitness nutrition specialist. About 10 years ago, she moved to the Chicago area, where she met her husband and started a family. While pregnant with her daughter, she discovered Mane In Heaven on a late-night phone scroll. Mane In Heaven has been such a rewarding experience, not only does it provide therapy for those they serve, but it has also become Sara's own form of therapy, bringing back the barn atmosphere, comfort of horses, and the joy of sharing that with others.

This weekend Health and Wellness continued with our own Veterinary, Dr. Kathryn Golden from Northern Lakes Equine Practice presenting at Barrington Area Library for an equine wellness lecture by The Riding Club of Barrington Hills. Our volunteers learned a lot and of course always a great day to see Dr. Golden!

Cold days mean time for virtual visits! We loved meeting with Heritage Elementary students and staff. Our Virtual Mini Meetup programs allow a behind the scenes view of our Minis. Our Minis love to be on camera! You can see Spirit smiling for the camera.
