Stop by ARF to purchase one of our kids books about Willie and McGraw. They are 2 brothers that are our longest residents. They came to ARF in January of 2023. They’re very sweet, but incredibly shy meeting new people. You have to earn their trust. Both are available for adoption.

ARF would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the Bartlesville Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership for their generous donation. We were honored to be chosen as one of only ten nonprofits to receive a $2,500 check, and this support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the animals we care for. Their kindness helps us continue our mission of providing safe, loving futures for the dogs and cats who need us most.

There are currently over 40 adorable cats and kittens waiting to meet you, each with their own unique charm and personality. They live in a cozy free-roaming area, where you can sit, play, and interact with them as they explore, nap, or ask for attention. It’s the perfect way to get to know them naturally and see who connects with you.

Our wonderful volunteers are always nearby to share each cat’s story, personality quirks, and favorite things. Whether you’re looking for a playful kitten, a laid-back lap cat, or a gentle companion, there’s someone here who’s just right for you. Come visit during our Open House on Sunday—you might just meet your new family member!

Looks like his adoption with the first application recieved is going thru . That person has been contacted. So his online post will be turned off. ❤️

ARF has one 11 week old Shih Tzu puppy that was born on August 1st. Rest of the litter was adopted by volunteers, or regular customers. (fyi, for future adoptions you get first choice if you volunteer with us) He is very outgoing and gets along with other dogs just fine. He of course is very active and playful. His name is Forrest and his adoption fee is $500. He gets his 3rd puppy shot on Saturday and then he will be ready for his forever home. We just listed him today and expect to get multiple applications. We go thru applications in order and try to pick the best fit for him. If interested please go to https://arfok.org/pages/arf-dogs asap, look for his picture, and click the adoption button.

We do adopt out of state, but the adopter must travel to ARF to meet the dog they are looking to adopt. They must have an approved application before traveling to meet the dog. We do allow small dogs that are eligible to fly in the cabin of a plane. We DO NOT allow dogs to travel in the cargo area of the plane under any circumstances. Any dog that is adopted can of course go by personal vehicle. We do not allow dogs to be transported "pony express style" where they are passed from driver to driver.

Sadie is a 11 month old pitbull mix. She was DNA tested as mostly pitbull/chihuahua mix with a little beagle/aussie thrown in. She’s medium to small size and weighs about 25lbs. She loves to play with other dogs and walks well on a leash. She has lived in a home and is housebroken. She’ll probably need a little bit of a refresher course. She’s 100% vetted and ready for a new home!

If interested please fill out an application online.

Our Story

ARF was established by a handful of pet lovers that wanted to make a difference for the abandoned pets in Bartlesville. Starting from showing a few rescues in a local pet shop and weekends at a local business, ARF has been able to construct their own rescue/adoption sanctuary which is home to an average of 35-40 cats/kittens and dogs/puppies waiting to be adopted into their forever homes. We are located at 399519 US 60 east of town on 18 acres including a 5-acre membership dog park. ARF’s mission is to help animals in need and educate people to be responsible pet owners. ARF reports abuse and neglect situations to local authorities. Low cost spay/neuter clinics are also hosted at ARF to promote the importance of spay/neuter to reduce pet overpopulation. More information on programs established can be found on ARF's web site. ARF is also a great source for lost/found pets and other pets that are spayed or neutered in need of new homes.
