What a weekend for the Rockgate Team! 7 horses at Texas Rose 🙌🏻 A weekend of so many firsts for the whole team! Highlights below:

Susan Sulentic’s Dallegro PWD was a gem with a top score of 73.4% in his Training/First classes with Courtney in the tack. Some baby moments but with time and miles this guy is such a horse for the future who oozes class and elegance. BIG things on the horizon!

Kyle Keaty ‘s Stetson REF made his third level debut with scores up to the mid-60’s including some nice changes he and Amatey have been working on so hard!

Monika Greb ‘s Falcano made his US show debut under Courtney after a year of careful development… what a change in this horse! Winning his Saturday and Sunday, 3-1 classes with a highlight of 67.4%. Relaxation and harmony were the goal of the weekend ❤️

Cynthia Burchett ‘s new horse Crescendo showed what a solid citizen and talented horse he is with Amatey piloting around 2-3 with scores up to 68%. Looking forward to Cyndi showing him soon!

Rockgate’s Lexington (2019 La Vie x Rotspon) was a gentleman at his first show EVER … Winning his 1-1 class with a 72%+ This guy is available for sale and is suitable for an amateur to bring along. Top gaits, superb temperament, and beautiful 🤩 Another super horse for the future - destined for the FEI ring with his rideability.

Don Perignon and Michelle Woolard made their Texas debut - this was Michelle’s first time showing “Bubbles” and she did such a spectacular job turning in two steady tests at second level with a top score of 64.2%. Can’t wait to see this pair develop in the future.

Lynda Hodge and Indalo De La B had their first crack at 3rd level and on Sunday he got a new personal best of 67% with Amatey at 3-2!

Special thank you to Rachel Willis for being the top organizer that she is and our biggest cheerleader this weekend! And of course the staff at Rockgate for holding down the fort so we can travel to do what we love ❤️

Rockgate Equestrian in Bartonville, TX will have an opening for dressage training & board with USDF bronze and silver medalist, Courtney Mohler or Amatey Wensel. We offer oversized stalls with stable comfort mattresses, 6 wash/groom stalls, 14 one acre turnouts in addition to three smaller private turnouts, premium Hallway feed, private lockers for clients, a beautiful covered arena, outdoor, and round pen with top notch GGT footing (groomed and watered daily), 1.25 miles of groomed bridle paths…. Finally a few free moments to update our social media! We’ve had a busy September (actually, a busy summer!) Tons of updates coming your way - but kicking things off with sharing a few photos from our Rockgate Team outing to Texas Rose Horse Park USDF rated Dressage show September 23-24.

Courtney Mohler and her gelding, Dutch Enough, had a great weekend with scores up to 66%+ in the I-1. Dutch has had a rough summer battling the transition to Texas so just getting back into the show ring was a huge accomplishment.

Amatey Wensel (our new assistant trainer - YAY!) had a lovely weekend with Kyle Keaty’s gelding, Stetson. She debuted him at his first recognized show at 2nd level for scores over 68% both days! Kyle also showed Stetson at 1-1 and earned her first score towards her Bronze Medal! So proud of this pair and can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes in the future.

Amatey also showed Lynda Hodge gelding, Indalo at 2-1 and 3-3 … scores in the mid 60’s both days. Super miles for this guy as he gains exposure and experience.

Kelly Sargent and her mare, Ariel, also had a great weekend showing Intro Level! She had personal high scores this weekend with two scores over 67% - looking forward to seeing this pair move up to Training Level next season ❤️

Saturday night arena work 🙌🏻 Special thanks to Austin Arena Specialists for fitting our maintenance in during the off hours so we wouldn’t miss a day of riding. There is nothing quite like a perfect riding surface and we so appreciate these guys keeping our Wordley Martin blend in top shape 👏🏻 Just need to reset the Dressage court and we are ready to roll ⚡️

William Fox-Pitt was the first British rider to become eventing’s World No 1, a distinction he has achieved 4 times. He has represented his country consistently over the past 18 years in the Olympics, European Championships, and World Equestrian Games with career highlights including, winning three Olympic medals in the team event, with silver in 2004 and 2012, and bronze in 2008. He has won seven team Gold medals at the European Championships and has been the British No 1 eleven times.

We are trying to make this a fun and inclusive event, riders and non-riders welcome. There will be a reception Monday night at Sherry's house, all are welcome with drinks and appetizers. This will be a fun social activity for everyone and a fundraiser for William Fox Pitt. Bring your spouses, children, and friends.
