As cooler weather sets in, many older pets start to feel stiffer and less comfortable. Arthritis is common in senior dogs and cats, but that doesn’t mean they have to live in pain.

If you notice your pet slowing down, limping, or struggling with stairs, it may be time for an exam. Our team can help with treatment options to keep them moving comfortably.

Ear infections are a common reason pets visit the vet, and they can be painful if left untreated.

Signs to watch for include:
- Frequent head shaking
- Scratching at the ears
- Redness, odor, or discharge

If your pet shows these signs, don’t wait. Ear infections rarely clear up on their own. With the right treatment, we can get them feeling better fast.

Your dog’s paws do a lot of work every day. From running and playing to walking on hot pavement or rough trails. Checking them regularly helps prevent cuts, burns, and irritation.

Quick tip: after walks, inspect for burs, stickers, or cracks, and keep paw pads moisturized with a pet-safe balm. In Texas, even fall pavement can stay hot enough to burn, so test it with your hand before heading out.

A little paw care goes a long way in keeping your pup comfortable and active. 💙

Visiting the vet can be stressful for cats, but at our hospital, we ensure their experience is as calm and comfortable as possible. We're proud to be AAFP Cat Friendly Certified, which means we've taken extra steps in handling, environment, and medical care tailored to feline patients.

That includes a dedicated exam room, quieter spaces, and gentle handling techniques - all designed to reduce stress and support your cat's unique needs.

Behind every patient we care for is a team that never stops learning. This week, we came together for hands-on training in dental radiography and positioning – building skills, confidence, and teamwork along the way.

The team’s dedication to growth is what helps us deliver the highest level of care to every pet, every day.
