Team South Haven continued their success in Wellington with WEF 4! 👏

🏆Lily Goldstein & Laramy conquered the Eq rings, making a clean sweep in the Adult Amateur Eq over fences with scores of 92 & 90 to finish Champion. Lily & Laramy also claimed the win in the THIS Adult Medal & a top-4 finish in the Bruno Delgrange Palm Beach Adult Medal.

🏆Lori Mathews piloted Symbolic to the Championship honor in 50 & Over Adult Amateur Hunters with impressive scores of 90 & 87!🥉In the same division with Exclusive, Lori rode to multiple ribbons including a 3rd place finish on a score of 84! Lori also put in beautiful rides with Allegretto in the AO 3’3” Hunters!

🥉Courney Lenkart & Lori Mathew’s Allegretto jumped to a 3rd and 5th out of 70 entries in the Performance 3’3” Hunters! 🏅With Merecedes Flett’s Chicoletto, Courtney jumped to score of 85.5 for a top-5 finish in the Green 3’6” Hunter Stake!

🏅Evan Werner & Coolboy earned great ribbons out of 40+ entries in the 15-17 Equitation.🏅In the jumper ring, Evan & Fun De L’Oiseliere made their debut in the Low Junior Jumpers.

🏅Liliya Obaid & Icara Z were in the ribbons in the Children’s Modified Jumpers!

🏆MacyKate & “Captain” were winners over fences in Sec. C of the Open 3’3” Equitation
🏅The pair also finished 17th overall in the USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal Final after placing 12th in the Gymnastics Phase on a score of 86.5!👏🏼
🥈In the 15 Year Old Eq, MacyKate jumped to 2nd with scores of 85 & 87 with Captain, and earned 4th on the flat with ’s Montesso van Perscheroven Z!

⭐️SHF Student Spotlight⭐️
Get to know SHF student, Addie Manson!

⭐️Addie has been apart of South Haven Farms for 8 years. After meeting Courtney, Addie says she “immediately knew Courtney was the one I wanted to train with, even at a young age. The rest is honestly history and I wouldn’t change a thing.”
⭐️”My favorite part about training with Courtney is the energy she puts out in every single lesson. Inside and outside of the ring, she is someone I enjoy being around and learning from.”
⭐️One of Addie’s favorite horse show memories is her first time qualifying for Capital Challenge! “It had always been a dream of mine to be able to compete at this horse show, and Courtney made my dreams come true.” Another favorite horse show memory is qualifying for pony finals! “It was my last hurrah on my pony Little Wonder, and Courtney was the best partner to work with — I’ll remember it forever.” On her favorite memory with Scott, Addie shares “When I first started riding my pony, I was too scared to canter, so Scott chased me until I finally had no choice! We still love to look back and laugh at that memory!”
⭐️On the SHF trainers, Addie shares, ”[Courtney] truly has become one of the closest people in my life and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities I have been given and the amazing relationship I have formed with her over the years. Training with Katie comes easy & is always fun because of her sense of humor—She’s very encouraging & she always pushes me to keep going! I always love when I get the chance to have a lesson with Scott— I really value his point of view, which usually means I need to go faster!”

Kicking-off our first time showing at WEC Ocala, the SHF team earned excellent ribbons and enjoyed being at this beautiful venue along the way!💫

🏆Jessica Bader & Paddington were Champion in the Younger Adult 2’6” Eq and 1st & 3rd in the Younger Low Adult 2’6” Hunters.
🏆Zurie Hester & Washington were Champion in the combined Short/Long Stirrup Hunter with 6 wins!
🏆Mercedes Flett & Caswell won the Older Low Adult 2’6” Hunter Classic & were Reserve Champion of the division. Mercedes was also 2nd over fences in the division with Coear De Pirater Z.
🏆Lori Mathews & Allegretto won both AO 3’6”/3’3” Hunter rounds Sunday to finish the division Reserve Champion. With Courtney, Allegretto was Reserve Champion in the Performance 3’3” Hunters.
Lori also celebrated an excellent start to her new partnership with Symbolic, earning 1st & 2nd on day one in the Older Adult Hunters before having to fly home on day 2!
🏆Addie Manson & Searchlight finished Reserve Champion in the Jr 3’3” Hunters. Searchlight also won both Performance 3’3” Hunter O/F classes with Courtney riding.
With Sinatra, Addie jumped to 2nd in the Jr 3’3” Hunters!
🏆Zoe Campbell & El Jefe finished Reserve Champion in the Younger Low Adult 2’6” Hunters.
🥇Evan Werner & Coolboy kicked-off their partnership with a win in the Younger THIS Children’s Medal, 2nd over fences in the 12-14 Eq, 3rd in the ASPCA Maclay & 3rd in the USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal.
🌟With her new jumper partner Fun De L’oiseliere went double-clear 1.m Jr Jumpers.
🥈Liliya Obaid & Captain Braunbaer placed 2nd on the flat in the 12-14 Eq, 2nd in the NHS 3’3” Medal & 2nd in the USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal.
🥈MacyKate Young & Montesso van Perscheroven Z were 2nd USEF Medal, winners in the WIHS Hunter Phase & 3rd in the USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal. With Captain Braunbaer, MacyKate was 3rd in all three 15-17 Eq classes.
🌟Lilly Goldstien & Gino Du Ventel were double-clear for 6th in the 1.15m Jr/Am Classic.
🏆Courtney Lenkart & Azlan were Champion in the Green 3’ Hunters. Thank you to Providence Hill Farm for the ride on this unicorn!

Team South Haven continued their success in Ocala for Week 2 of the November Fall Series! 🍂
A few highlights include:��🥈Lori Matthews & Allegretto had multiple 2nd place finishes in the AO 3’3” Hunters. With Courtney, Allegretto was Reserve Champ in the Performance 3’3” Hunters only showing one day.

🏆Mercedes Flett & Coear De Pirater Z were Reserve Champion in the Low Adult 2’6 Hunter 50+ and claimed the win in the Classic, making them back-to-back winners of the Classic over the last 2 weeks! With Caswell, Mercedes had multiple top-3 finishes in the Low Adult 2’6 Hunters. Earlier in the week, her horse Chicoletto was piloted by Courtney to Champion in the Green 3’/3’3” Hunter with a win in the handy!��🏆Evan Werner & Coolboy had a clean sweep in the 12-14 Eq to receive Champion! Congrats, Evan, on capping off your 12-14 years with 9 Championship ribbons this year!

🏆Jessica Bader & Paddington were Champion in the Low Adult Eq & Reserve Champion in the Low Adult Hunters.

🏆MacyKate Young & Montesso Van Perscheroven Z finished Reserve Champion in the 15-17 3’3” Eq, 2nd in the WIHS Jumper Phase, & were top-3 in the USHJA 3’3” Jumping Seat Medal.

🏆Liliya Obaid & Magical were Reserve Champion in the USHJA 2’ Hunter and win in the NHS 3’3” Medal. We are so proud of “Elfie” & his successful horse show debut in the US! In the Jumpers, Liliya rode Helmig-K to 2nd in the 1.20m Junior Jumpers & Icara Z to 3rd in the 1.15m Jr/Am Jumpers.

🥇Zurie Hester & Washington were winners in the Younger Short Stirrup Hunters!

🥇Addie Manson was 1-2 with Sinatra & Searchlight in the Younger Jr 3’3” Hunters. Searchlight also jumped to a score of 88 in the Classic!

🥇Lori Mathews & Symbolic were winners in the 1st round of the Adult 3’ Hunter 50+ & scored an 88 in the NAL/WIHS Adult Hunter Classic!��🏅Savonna Adell & KBS Ronnin finished clear & in the ribbons in the 1.20m Am Jumpers! ��Congratulations to all of our incredible clients, horses & staff members on an unforgettable first time here at WEC Ocala - It’s safe to say we ALL enjoyed our time at this beautiful facility!

South Haven Farm: Combining quality horse care with show ring success
Here at SHF, we take pride in our facility. Located just outside of Dallas, South Haven Farm is a true haven for our horses and riders!
Our barn features over 30 custom 12x12 stalls with hand-carved ceilings for an open, luxurious atmosphere. Built in 2016, it also includes a separate lounge and trunk room, offering organized storage for tack, saddles, and trunks.
South Haven boasts both indoor and outdoor rings, each featuring all-weather GGT footing, making every ride a comfortable one for horse and rider. With spacious grass paddocks and a range of amenities including a European hot walker, treadmill, theraplate, & Bemer blanket, SHF is equipped to help each horse look & feel their very best.💛🐴

Our 🌟SHF Sales Graduates🌟 certainly made us proud this past weekend at horseshows around the country! Each demonstrated exceptional talent, rideability & personality to earn excellent ribbons in their respectiv divisions. We couldn't be prouder of the sucess of these horses & the partnerships they are in after graduationg form our SHF Sales Program!��🏆 Clovis De La Pomme and Campbell Ooley received Champion in the 14-15 Equitation at the 2024 National Horse Show, and had a solid round in the Hamel 3’3” Equitation Championship! �🏆In Texas, Primetime & Caitlin Burns received the Top of The Line perpetual trophy & were crowned Champion the AO 3’3” Hunters at the Harvest Horse show by Southbound Show Management. �🏆Also at Harvest, Nemo & Margaux Peterson won the 1.15m Jr/Am Jumper Classic! ��Congratulations to all horses and riders on a very successful past weekend! We are so happy to see our sales graduate horses thriving!

⭐️SHF Sales Graduate⭐️
Meet Primetime, also known as “Tony” and previously known as “Tino!” A proud SHF Sales Graduate, Primetime found his match with Caitlin Burns, an amateur at Hillcrest Farms. Caitlin shares with us her journey and achievements over the past few months with this special 6-year-old horse:

“I like to buy prospects to develop and [Primetime] had so many great qualities that I look for: great jump, canter and brain,” shares Caitlin. “He’s been so fun to have and in a short time, he has stepped up from the 3’ Greens and Adult divisions, to the 3’3” AO Hunters and National Derbies”

The pair already have many impressive ribbons under their belt, some including:
🏆High Score Amateur Owner at the 2024 USHJA Green Hunter Incentive Championships
🏆Winner of the South Central Amateur National Derby Championships
🏆Champion & Reserve Champion in the AO 3’3” Hunters in Traverse City

We’re excited to see this partnership off to such an excellent start and we couldn’t be more proud of all this young horse has achieved at only 6 yrs old with Caitlin in the irons! The SHF & Eyckenhoeve teams look forward to watching their continued success!🖤💫

⭐️SHF Staff Spotlight⭐️�Get to know Equine Sports Therapist, Shelby Barnett!

⭐️Shelby joined the SHF team in April 2023 and has been a key contributor to the health and happiness of our horses. As an equine sports therapist, she specializes in Acuscope/Myopulse/Chiropractic and osteopathic therapies, helping maintain soundness and performance, as well as rehabilitate when needed, in our SHF horses!

⭐️Born and raised on a ranch in the Pacific Northwest, Shelby has been immersed in the equine world her entire life. She started competing in rodeo at age 5 and hasn’t stopped since! Shelby shares, “As a lifelong competitor with a passion for keeping my horses performing their best, I was blessed to find a career where I could combine my love for competition with improving the performance of equine athletes.”

⭐️Shelby’s favorite part of being on the SHF team is "the overwhelming support and kindness from every single person." When she joined, she was balancing a full-time roster of clientele, finishing her Osteopathy education, and learning about the hunter/jumper industry. She says, “Through every step, they’ve been amazing.”

⭐️One of Shelby’s most cherished memories is her first show, when she helped a very special SHF horse, Glorieus, make his comeback to ultimately win the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show International Derby in 2023!

⭐️Thank you, Shelby, for all you do. We’re incredibly grateful for your knowledge, love, and dedication to our team and our horses!🖤

⭐️SHF Staff Spotlight⭐️
Get to know South Haven Farm Office Manager, Ashley Aguilar!
Ashley joined the SHF team in May of 2020 and has been the organizational & back-end logistics mastermind ever since! She manages our show entries, billing, contracts, travel arrangements, horse records and sooooo much more! Located in the Bryan/College Station area, Ashley lives with her husband, their 2 kids, 3 dogs, horse + 2 ponies.
Her riding days began in her teenage years, starting off riding hunter/jumpers as a teenager in NJ. Over time, Ashley moved to a number of different states, which led her to trying various disciplines, including driving Morgans, polo, young cowhorse/reiners, and eventing! Ashley is now back in the hunter world and shows her homebred 8y/o Irish Sporthorse.
Ashley’s favorite part about working for SHF is getting to share in the excitement of such a successful team. Even if it is from afar, “Courtney, Scott and the rest of the team are such a great group to work with.”
Some of her favorite SHF memories are when she’s had the opportunity to support the team in person when they make the trip to Houston, and she looks forward to continuing cheering them on from afar & nearby every chance she gets!

While half our team was at Capital Challenge, our riders had a strong finish to their time in Kentucky at Split Rock Fall I!👏

🏆Liliya Obaid & Symbolic were Champion in the Jr/AO 3’3” Hunters with a clean sweep over fences! They also won the Jr/AO Combined 3’3”/3’6” Classic and were top-5 in the USHJA National Hunter Derby!🏅In the jumper ring, Liliya & Helmig-K had a top-5 finish in the 1.20m Jr/Am Power & Speed class.

🏆Lori Mathews & Allegretto were Reserve Champion in the Jr/AO 3’3” Hunters with a win in the Under Saddle!
🏆Earlier in the week, Allegretto was Champion in the Performance 3’3” Hunters with Scott Lenkart in the irons!

🏆Evan Werner & CC Contador DWB were Reserve Champion in the Jr/AO 3’6” Hunters, and placed 2nd in the Jr/AO Combined 3’3”/3’6” Classic. In the Equitation ring, Evan & “Ozzy” had 1-2 finishes in the 12-14 Equitation!

🏆Scott Lenkart & Mercedes Flett’s Chicoletto were Champion in the Green 3’3” Hunters, winning all 4 over fences rounds.
