August was a great month for many dogs at the Shelter- the community showed up and 40 dogs were adopted! Many dogs also went to foster care. We appreciate the volunteers who played a role in finding furever homes and foster homes.

We also benefited from many, many product donations. In fact, we took in so much that we are just about at capacity! For now, we are only accepting the following donations, so we can use what we have of other products!

Wet Dog Food (specifically Royal Canin for our pickier residents :))
Dish Soap

As we start to run out of other items, we will post about new items that we will accept.

Got a call today regarding a dog that was hanging around the general area of Spring St. in Bethel, homeowner allowed me to place a trap in the area where he’s been providing food for the dog. As I was preparing to leave, the dog appeared out of nowhere carrying a bagel, he was captured shortly thereafter. Watch the trap in action!

The tri state running club strikes again!! Thank you!!!

Tri State Running Club showed up Monday and our amazing dogs were all snoring happily!! Sweet Dreams to our amazing and SLEEPY doggies!!

Here at the Clermont County Animal Shelter we are always forward thinking for our dogs, exercise is crucial for their overall well being. Since it’s getting cold and the roads becoming hostile, we’ve recently acquired several treadmills that were graciously donated by a few of our county residents. These will help limit our dogs from exposure to the weather and more importantly the salt, calcium chloride and ice associated with the conditions. The treadmill will help the shelter dog relieve their pent up energy and stress. We are very excited to put this new system in place and to see how this will benefit the well being of the dogs. We do ensure that dogs will still get daily walks and outside time the treadmill is a way to further enrich the dogs and meet their needs.
