We will be closed on Friday, October 10th and Saturday, October 11th for staff training and continuing education. We will reopen on Tuesday, October 14th for normal business hours.

Ongoing education and hands-on training are vital to ensuring that our team continues to provide the highest quality care for your pets. 🧼✂️ Polar bear rug? Nope! The Reality of Severe Matting ✂️🧼

Take a look at this entire coat from a Labradoodle that had to be shaved off in one piece due to excessive matting. 😱 While it may look impressive, this isn’t something to celebrate — it’s a clear sign that the pup was extremely uncomfortable, and their skin wasn’t able to breathe properly under all that tangled fur.

🐶 Labradoodles and double-coated breeds require consistent grooming and coat care — not just for looks, but for their overall health. Without regular brushing and professional grooming, mats can form quickly and tighten against the skin, causing pain, hot spots, and even restricting movement.

✨ Grooming Tips for Doodles and Double-Coated Dogs:
-Brush thoroughly at least 3–4 times a week
-Use an undercoat rake or de-matting tool
-Schedule professional grooming every 4–8 weeks depending on the coat type
-Don’t forget the ears, armpits, and belly — common spots for hidden mats!
