Margaret Hungerford once said “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Celeste says “behold my beauty!” This pretty girl has been living on her own and is so over it. She is very comfortable in the shelter. Being doted on is her new favorite thing. Celeste is hoping for a beautiful future with you.

Sally! Look at the grin on this cutie’s chin. Sally is approximately 2 years old. She is a peppy, friendly Japanese Chin. We are still getting to know her and her likes and dislikes. Riley is a 5 year old Aussie/Heeler mix. She is a very sweet girl, good with older children and good with dogs. No cats please. She is a bit timid around new situations but quickly warms up. Riley hopes you will choose her as your pup.

The wonderful thing about Tiggers is Tiggers are wonderful things. This Tigger is no exception. He is a very sweet 3 year old who loves to be loved. He is a chill guy who enjoys bird watching and lap sitting. The shelter does have his nerves a bit bouncy. A wonderful home for Tigger would be a quiet one.

2/23: Peony has been adopted!
Sisterhood of the traveling cats! It is fate that these gals get along so great. They were found separately as strays and became friends at the shelter. Makes you wonder what stories they share. If you are looking for a feline pair, Gingerella and Peony are for you. They are great individually too. Both are very sweet, love attention and get along with kids.

2/24: Milo has been adopted!
Are you a little dog person or a big dog person?
MILO: 1 year old French Bulldog mix. A little guy with a big, fun personality. He was adopted and returned because he does not get along with cats. He can be dog selective too but he would love to live with you. Housebroken, crate trained and good on a leash.
SAMSON: 2 year old Pyrenees mix. A big 67 pound bundle of sweetness. A friendly fellow, gets along with dogs, seems housebroken. He has the softest fur. The better to snuggle with.

JUNEO: 4 year old Beagle mix. Frisky, fun and playful. Good with older kids, can be dog selective, No Cats. Housebroken and crate trained. She is in a foster home.
SWEETIE: 1 1/2 year old Beagle. Sweet, calm and playful. Good with kids, dog selective, No Cats. She is housebroken.

In a coat of midnight, white shirt and black tie, struts a handsome feline catching everyone’s eye. Pete is an affectionate adult Tuxedo who came to us as a stray. He adores human companionship and gets along with cats. With whiskers groomed, white socks devine, he hopes you will soon say, Pete is mine!

Margie. There is a shyness about this very sweet girl. An uncertainty about shelter life that is unsettling to her self confidence. Margie is a 3 year old, 90 pound, spayed, Shepherd mix. A peaceful, quiet home with tender love and patience (without young kids) would suit her well and bring her out of her shell.

You know the drill! Gingerella is a sweet and gentle 5 year old who came to us in need of TLC and vet care. Including dental care. She is getting along fine despite missing teeth. Gingerella hopes teeth under her pillow will fulfill her dreams of a loving home. Can you be her tooth fairy?

What does “good with older children” mean? It may mean the dog or cat is mouthy or swatty or plays too rough for the little ones. It may mean the pet is timid and uncomfortable in noisy, busy households. It may mean the pet dislikes a lot of hands on attention the little ones like to provide. Older kids are more capable of respecting necessary boundaries. We always have the safety of your children and the best fit for our adoptables in mind. Thank you for understanding.
