I have officially found a groomer to work with! 🥰 Her name is Sarah and I have worked side by side with her grooming dogs in the past!

A sigh of relief as now my current clients can keep their fur babies at a familiar place. I know how stressful it can be for some dogs. This makes my time away a little less stressful as well as I take on the new roll of motherhood. 🥰🥹

This goes for showing up to appointments early as well. I give you a appointment for a reason. If you show up to your appointment early please take your dog for a walk or wait in your car. Some dogs are dog aggressive. Or those 3 minutes are the exact amount of time I need to finish that dogs face.

I am being forced to be a little bit more stricter on people when they walk in to check on their dogs at my shop. I have a release liability that everybody signs that kindly asks people not to walk in to check on their dogs, for obvious reasons not everybody reads what they sign. I know it’s hard for people to understand the liabilities of walking in and checking on their dogs at the grooming shop. I work with sharp objects and most often am working on the dogs that are being checked on, or they are in cages, waiting for their turn on the table and now causing a ruckus because they have seen their parents and wanna go home.

Yesterday I had 150+ pound husky nearly take down my table when I was just minutes away from finishing him because his owner walked in, i’ve even had people walk in and whistle at their dog on my table. People don’t understand what goes on in a grooming shop, how frustrating it is to work on an overly excited pup, listen to barking dogs for hours after they see their owners walk in an leave without them. Most often it’s my walk-ins that check up on their dogs because they’ve been with me for the better half of the day, which, as a walk-in, is clearly stated that they are fit into the day, and they could be the last to leave at the end of the day.

I’ve had to put dogs away that I was currently working on because they are so excited because there are people walked in to check on them and I cannot continue the haircut without cutting or injuring, the dog because it just simply won’t be still, so the dog has to be put away to calm down for me to start again which then keep the dog here even longer.

I’ve had Dogs pull out of nooses and jump off tables faster than I can grab them because their owners walk in causing injury to themselves, thankfully, no broken bones, but still some pretty crazy crashes that I have witnessed throughout the years because owners walk-in “just to check” or “they were in the area” We always urge people to text or call if they want to check on their animals, but sometimes I’m working and I don’t get to the phone right away and so they walk in their excuse is “I tried to call ” we worked as fast and efficiently and safely as possible, although we do check our messages and phone calls in between our dogs sometimes dealing with a dog that needs extra time keeps us from answering text messages right away.

I have come to the conclusion that for now on if people walk in to check on their animals, I send them home and they have to bring them back as walkins to be finished and will be asked to pay full grooming price, even if they’re taking the dogs home and unfinished. This hopefully will help people understand.

For years we have been asking people not to walk in and check on their animals until we’re blue in the face and it just doesn’t work for more than half of the pet owners out there. Hopefully it will help people understand the dangers of checking up on your pet at the groomers. Not just our shop, but for any groomer shops out there. It’s simply courteous to just wait for a phone call, or a text message back if you’re just checking on a status of your dog’s grooming process. No one ever gets left over night no matter how late your groomer works.

Itchy season is amongst us for our furry friends!!

Also it is prime time for ticks. Get your flea and tick treatments on! And make sure you are checking your pups! Lyme's disease unfortunately seems to be more and more common around here now.

My recommendations to help the itch are a nice bath with a low or no fragrance shampoo to help get any pollen off your dog. Once a month. If severe twice a month.

Hi everyone! 😃
Just a few things.

October is full and November if filling up fast.

I also just wanted to do a little update on shop rules!

* All dogs must be leashed. Unless they are small enough to carry. I don't care how well behaved you think your dog is. Please have your dogs leashed.

* One dog in the waiting room at a time. If you see another family in the waiting room you can wait in your car or take a little walk.

* Please give your dog a moment to go potty. 9 out of 10 times they will go. Even if they were just outside at home. I have poo bags hanging up outside and a little trashcan! Please clean up after your pup!

* You only need to ring the doorbell once. I hear it. If you don't get buzzed in right away I am most likely caught up in the middle of something or shuffling dogs around or finishing up on a dog.

* If you are 15 minutes late you will be asked to reschedule. If you are going to be late dropping off or picking up your dog please just communicate this with me.

* You are not to walk through any gates unless you are approved by me to walk through. They are there for a reason.

* My door will now open at your appointment time. If you are early take a little walk or wait in your car. Same for picking up... Why you ask?! Because when a dog sees a human or hears a doorbell they get all excited and are all over the place. Which makes my job with sharp objects a little more difficult.

* My weeks are busy and there is only one of me. I do most of my call backs on the weekends. So please be patient while you wait to hear from me.
- I do sometimes miss a text or a call so if 2 weeks goes by and you don't hear from me. Give me a jingle. It's not personal, I am just extremely busy!

* Call or text for appointments or any information you need. You will not hear back from me through messenger.
