This warm weather is great for us but not much nectar resources left for the honeybees due to last weeks heavy frosts. We have our hive secured for winter and are continuing to feed them sugar water with the inner feeder.

English Lab(Dad) and Blue Merle Great Dane (Mom) enjoying the last few days with their 11 puppies. Most will be going to their new families this week. These pups sure have been the focus of the farm these last 8weeks.

Five puppies still need families. Pink, white and brown collars are females. Green and yellow are males. “Brownie” was the biggest pup at the 6week vet visit at 15lbs and she is the escape artist of the litter. White is the smallest of the litter and so sweet.

Today is lock down day for our latest batch of eggs. This means we remove the bottom tray from the incubator that rotates the eggs. It also means in 3 more days these eggs will start hatching. Note, the large heat pad under the incubator. Trying this for equal heat distribution throughout.
