At Daisy’s Doggie Daycare, your pets are our family, and their health and well-being are our top priorities. Recently, we experienced not just one, but two health scares that reminded us why vigilance and quick action are so important when caring for your furry friends.

Last Monday, Zoey, our manager at the Batesville location, noticed that Brutus, one of our larger boarded dogs, was vomiting an unusual foam. Acting swiftly, she contacted our owner, April, who reached out to our trusted partners at Tri County Vet. Brutus was diagnosed with a flipped stomach—a life-threatening condition with only a 40% survival rate. Thanks to the immediate response from our team and the excellent veterinary care he received, Brutus made it through surgery and is now back to his normal, happy self!

Shortly after Brutus’s emergency, April noticed something concerning with another one of our boarded dogs, Diesel. Although occasional canine diarrhea is common, our dedicated team is highly attuned to the well-being of our furry guests and can quickly recognize when something isn’t quite right.

In Diesel’s case, his spastic diarrhea wasn’t unusual. April noticed a concerning softball-sized lump in his groin area. Acting swiftly, she contacted Diesel’s owners, who were unaware of the lump. Thanks to April’s keen eye and our strong connections with local veterinarians, Diesel was promptly examined and diagnosed with a non-life-threatening fatty tumor. Fortunately, his owners were on their way home from their trip and were able to get him the care he needed without delay.

We share these stories not to alarm, but to reaffirm our commitment to watching over your pets as if they were our own. Emergencies can happen, but you can trust that our experienced team is always paying close attention and acting quickly when it matters most.

We’re beyond grateful for the support of our local veterinary partners and the trust of our amazing pet parents. And most importantly, we’re so happy that both Brutus and Diesel are doing well!
