Laura had been running for a long time. It didn't matter how hard she ran or where to, the nightmares followed. Her nightmares kept her on the path, never wavering until they brought her full circle. Now what would she do?
This is a powerful book. Yet another look at how a split second can change your life in so many ways. The meat part of the book is fantastic. It really is a page turner. The characters are fleshed out and engaging. It will have you looking over your shoulder for awhile. This one also shows us how once again religion is molded to fit what you want it to be. I think you'll like this one.

I found a few issues inside the bigger issue. The bigger issue is the lead in story to start the book with doesn't need to be there. There are many other ways to bring the information into the meat of the book. The smaller issues have to do with perception more than they are misleading information. It's an easy fix.

Walt is from South Louisiana. He's twelve years old and his Papa calls him Boy. Walt didn't know what his future would be like but he knew he didn't want it like his life now. He wanted his Mama to be happy and healthy. He wanted his family, except his Papa, to have a home where their lives would be good. They wouldn't have to struggle.
This book is a good one. It's hard to read, in a way, because of the hard story it tells. It hits at the center of your heart and then shreds it. It's an important story to be told though. Too many live like this. The writing is good. The characters well defined and three dimensional. I recommend this one for teens and adults. It will give you a clearer center of gravity. It will teach valuable lessons. Add it today to your TBR pile or library.

I did find issues. It really drags. It beats a point to death. It jumps to too many characters. Keep it somewhat simple. Last, it isn't as focused as it could be.

In 1939 President Franklin D. Roosevelt was warned about the possibility of the Nazi's trying to make an atomic bomb. The President was advised by scientists to authorize the United States to try to become the first country with an atomic bomb. This was called the "Manhattan Project." It was then decided a backup plan was needed. This project was called the "White Hole Project." It's now 1974 and some neighborhood teens are hanging out together. They decide to go for a bike ride and explore.
This is truly a spectacular book! It's well written and the research for it it spot on. The characters could have been the kids from my neighborhood. I find it very easy to get wrapped up in this book. It's not only for teens but adults too. I hadn't heard of some of the things discussed in this book. It is a bit technical in spots but I doubt any teen or adult will have much trouble with it. This should be part of your teens library! I believe Dr. Schewe struck gold here!

A good solid Italian family the Balenos. As you may have guessed, they are from Italy. As far back as anyone can remember, this family has taught the generation next in line a work ethic like you wouldn't believe. They taught them how to do things so eventually they could handle it on their own. Needless to say, this is a very close family.
I enjoyed this book. This is the way most families should be. The book is interesting, heart wrenching and beautiful. The people in the book come in all different shapes and sizes. One thing to keep in mind, is the love and respect these people have for one another. I was amazed at the way these people just jumped in to teach the young ones what they need to know to be a success. You will enjoy this book as well. Get your copy now!

Wallace is attending a midwestern university. He has many secrets about his life. His friends enjoy having him around even though he's the more serious one. His friend Miller also has secrets about his life. He spends much of his time with Wallace. They must decide how they will handle their lives.
WOW! This book is very deep. The writing is spectacular and the characters well defined. While reading about the secrets they held inside, it shows just how students in a university deal with problems. Wallace seems to know what he wants for his life. He continues to allow the past to color his judgement. I really enjoyed this book. I think you will too.

I did find an issues. Chapter 10 is completely out of place at the end. It serves no purpose.

A newly minted teacher and recently divorced mother of 1 finds her first job. She will be teaching at a boarding school. Children of teachers at a boarding school are labelled "faculty brats." It doesn't take long before the mother finds a new man. Another teacher at the school. Everything if finally falling into place or is it?
This book will reach in and grab your heart. Then you will begin to wonder if you missed the cues in anyone you know. Well written and extremely honest, this book is one every parent should read and re-read. I found the picture Mr. Bucca painted to be vivid and unyielding. If you are not moved by this book, your heart must be made of stone.

La La's life was busy. She had hobbies, but no friends. Her father was with her but it wasn't the same. After falling through the ice as a child, she was saved by a dog. Since that day, La La has wanted to be a veterinarian. She was willing to work hard to become the best vet in the city. Can she achieve it?
I really enjoyed this book! It has an original storyline and characters you really enjoy. I was surprised by turning events in this book. It really adds some fantastic twists and unexpected turns to the story. I felt La La was a strong character despite all of the things she'd been through. You must read this book!

Ambrose White and his sister own Club Lush. They have a very specific clientele and they want everyone to be happy when they leave. Of course Ambrose liked to play as well as watch the clients. He's a bit jaded by the clients they've had in the club. Then he spots one young woman who stirs his passion. Will she be willing to play?
WOW! This is a HOT read! The writing is slow and sensuous. The characters so well defined you can close your eyes and there they are. I really enjoyed this one. It's a perfect quick read or a book for a couple looking to spice things up. The book is one you have to have in your library.

Denrael is head of the Silver Order and has done an amazing job of keeping the peace throughout the lands. He knows something is coming. He isn't sure what but it won't be easy to defeat. Denrael must bring together the inhabitants of the land to fight for their homes. The next thing is can they all put aside any differences to help keep their homes from being destroyed?
You are going to have such an adventure with this book! Ms. Steel knows just how to craft a story to keep you wondering what will be next. I must admit, I'm not usually a fan of wizardry, magic or fantasy. I LOVED this book. It's characters are so well defined you can picture them in your mind easily. The writing of this book is some of the best I've read. I couldn't stop turning pages! I was enjoying this book so much I read it 4 times! Each time I picked up a bit more than I did the last time I read it. I wanted to jump in and join these beings! Be ready for the trip of a lifetime when you open this book ( and clear your schedule! Trust me, if you don't you'll wish you had.)

Thomas had finally found a job he loved. He was a teacher in a private elementary school. He enjoyed teaching and watching his students grow and learn. The director of the school and Thomas became great friends. He couldn't imagine his life anywhere but Portland, Oregon. As he will soon see, all good things come to an end.
WOW! This is a debut novel for this author. I'm certain we will read many more good books from Mr. Davison. The writing is out of this world. Thoughtful, heartbreaking, informative and at times tissue worthy. The characters are well defined and relatable. I was really sad when reading this one. To ruin a mans career and life with one statement full of misunderstanding. You are going to enjoy the way Thomas deals with it all. He's in a class all by himself. I know this author is going to pen many more great books. Get this one for your TBR pile.

Morgan had to grow up way to fast. She was taking care of an unstable mother who thought only of herself. At times she felt like things would get better, and they might for a little while, then right back to hell. Raising herself and her younger sister, Morgan didn't have much time to do "kid things". Her life was taking care of her mother and sister. Would it ever change?
Get the tissues and if you need anything to take out your anger (pillow, blanket, drum... etc.), now's the time to get it. The "characters" in this book are real live people. The list is extensive. The writing in this book is stunning. Morgan really did a fantastic job of putting you in the situations and making you feel what she felt. It's not easy to read this as I stated at the beginning. It's heartbreaking. I enjoyed that Morgan had become strong enough to write this book. It truly is a great book. I empathize with her. It's not hard to do. You must read this book. This one, readers, is not easy to write a short review about. Please, just get the book, recommend it to your friends and their teenagers. I think it will make a dent in their attitude.

Sandra's life was complicated. She came from a large family and a tumultuous as well. From an early age she knew when to avoid her father. He was a long haul truck driver and that kept him away much of the time. Sandra was determined to make her life better. She had goals and ideas she wanted to pursue. It would take her some time, but she completed those goals.
WOW! I was deeply affected by this book. The writing is sensational. The people in this book are some of the best and worst I've heard of. I enjoyed the fact this book is told from Sandra's point of view. Many times I wanted to reach into the book and just hug Sandra. There were times I would have helped her pack her bags. Sandra is an inspirational figure for women of all ages. Her tenacity and her love are on another level. You are going to enjoy this book so much. You're going to learn from it as well. You will definitely need tissues. My heart broke for Sandra many, many times. I was in a rage many times as well ( I cry when I get exceptionally angry). Get ready for one of the best books you're going to read this year.

Anika saw a new neighbor moving into the house next door. She's so excited! She watches to see if they have any children. All she can see is a pointy black hat. She sees a wart on the nose as she looks through the fence. Anika is sure a witch is moving in. Witches aren't real are they?
This is a perfect teaching tool. Diversity, things not appearing to be what they are and other lessons can be found in this book. It's well written, entertaining and just plan fun. Your littles will enjoy the story and the lessons can be lively. You can use this book as a springboard to lessons similar to these when you are away from home. It's perfect.

Jessie finally hits rock bottom and works to put her life back together. Her brother is very proud of her and offers to let her live with him until she finds a job and her own apartment. Jessie is so appreciative. The only problem is she hasn't had any luck yet finding a job. One of her brother's girlfriends gives her a tip that pans out. To celebrate the new job, her friends take her out to a club.
This is an adult theme and language book. Still it is fun and different and full of love. The writing is great and characters are fun and sweet. I enjoyed this book. I could relate to some of the things Jessie is going through. It's an easy read. You will feel the heat climbing as well. The book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I found this unique subject a great one. It works and it's balanced in the story. You can't ask for more. You need to read this one and then spend a romantic evening with your significant other.

College student Kimberly Spellman was running errands when she made the decision to leave Economics and take Art. It was her dream and she was going to pursue it. She knew this was right for her. The guy she'd run into three times today wasn't.
You NEED this book! It is amazing. Not just a romance book, this one is THE romance book! It's written in a very real way. It wasn't just a they meant and married kind of thing. They have real issues to discuss. He cares about her more than himself. It's magnificently written. The characters are well defined and so relatable. I found this story believable. I found it romantic, funny, and so wonderful. You will find this page turning book one of the best! You'll be sharing it with friends and family. I've read this one five times now. I never tire of it. You won't either. I will eventually have the whole set. GET THIS ONE!!

Sasha Snow worked as a scientist for Mirror, Mirror laboratory. She was sent to Iceland to do some research. It wouldn't have been quite so bad if her rival hadn't been sent with her. Sasha was determined to do her best for the company and send back the information they were looking for. The seven men she worked with with another thing entirely.
This is not your child's Snow White story. This one will contain adult themes and explicit language. The base story is fantastic! It makes you stop and wonder about the work they are doing in the story. It is possible. Add to this story the adult side and you've got a very good book. Well written and with characters we can all relate to. This is a book for a couple to share on a cool night to heat things up. Truly a good read you will enjoy

Bonita is allergic to the sun. It meant she could only be outside during the night. To keep herself busy, Bonita filmed her brother's seven friends and the next door neighbor. Everyone thought they were great films. It gave Bonita an idea. She wanted to film a movie with Sasha Snow. Her parents thought she was crazy.
This is not your child's Sleeping Beauty. This one has adult themes and explicit language. That being said, this story is the base for a terrific story. The writing is superb and the characters are well defined. I love that the author used an illness we don't know much about in this story. It gives it an interesting twist. The logistics alone are difficult. Bonita must avoid the sun. She gets mail from Sasha Snow to work on her project. This book includes new love and a new couple. The other issues the author puts in the story help to make it a good one.
