Shedding under water, smart.
These are my sail fin anoles, in their new home. An impressive species, males get to 20+ inches and grow a sail down their tailsThey continue to grow this for years. I got them ten months ago as tiny brown things but have already started to breed. More on that in another post.
I took some crappy videos of the birth of these California red-sided garters but here is a time lapse video that’s not too bad. I like to give the moms space and view from afar.
Here’s another video of them, I took about 20. Lol. So amazing to me.
I brought my red-sided garters back in from hibernation and it was only a matter of hours and the males started going nuts.
This is my first with this species, Standing’s Madagascan Giant Day Gecko
I finally bought another tegu. Well, 3 actually but I am only keeping one. I will wait a bit to chose a name, personality might decide that. These are the Red tegus, very pretty.
Another Radix garter gave birth today. This time I was able to watch and take a few time lapse videos. Here’s one....
One of my garter Moms had babies last night so I missed watching the live birth but it was still really cool to come in this morning and find these. T negative albino radix approximately 80% with the red gene as well. For those of you out there that know what the hell that means. Lol.
This Pastel Fire laid her eggs. She’s gorgeous and has attitude on a good day. Today? Look at her. She wants to mess me up bad.
This big girl finally had her eggs. Nine good ones!
COO COO for Clover Puffs! 😃. FYI, I am closed for the day. Enjoy the sunshine and I will see ya tomorrow!
Volume up! This male terribilis knows how to call. I just need him to fertile some eggs properly. Been very frustrating but I still love him.
Some freshly shed garters. I watch them all day, easily in my top 1000 of favorite animals. Maybe I should have turned off the golf in the background......
Good morning. I wanted to thank everyone for the condolences and for reaching out. It means a lot. Here’s a happier video. Baby axoltls make me smile. Have a great weekend!
Here are a few of the other hatchlings. My pair produces some really nice high contrast albinos.
Some uncooperative baby pythons.
This video was taken last year of my pregnant boa. I like how she navigates her belly through the logs.
Don’t panic. Nothing to worry about here, this red-eyed tree frog is just finishing up a peel.
