Paw in the Door is selling these beautiful bulbs again this year to raise funds for the kitties at Christmas time!
We know they are priced higher than those you find at Walmart & the grocery store but as an amaryllis aficionado I can tell you the reason is that these are superior bulbs. The BIG difference is that they don't come with those pesky little mites that always seem to be hidden in the Walmart or grocery store bulbs so I am not fighting them & they aren't attacking my other plants all winter so I'm not buying mite sticks etc.
I got my bulbs yesterday & they are larger than the grocery store bulbs & completely clean with no skin to hide the mites. I planted 3 of the 5 I got last night & they are so big that they have barely a quarter inch all the way around the pot they are so big & this is what you want. They love close quarters & that also forced them to shoot up tall & produce multiple stems with multiple & large flowers.
I am attaching the flyer with the info on how to order as well as photos of the 3 I planted last night AND bonus photos of ONE of my red lion bulbs from last year. That bulb produced multiple stems as well as multiple flowers AND it flowered & shot more hearty stems & flowers a second time after the first flowering! Also shown was my Apple Blossom from Flowerpower last season.
I bought twice as many bulbs as I did last year I was so impressed & no more grocery store bulbs for me! Less is more when dealing with those pesky little mites you get as a bonus with Walmart bulbs...yes, I am a bit obsessed about those mites!

Busy day preparing for the auction so I only took a few photos of some more of the items before going home. Tote bags are handmade & in 2 sizes. Makita electric chain saw is new, the small library table & chairs is very compact with storage in both chair seats as well as a cabinet below the tabletop, original photo of osprey family taken this past summer is matted & framed.

I am helping the owner look for her cat. She accidentally got out about three weeks ago now in the Maritime apartment area, Windjammer Way. Not been seen since and that’s really strange. The owner and her daughters have been looking all the time ever since. I do have posters up and there have been a couple of possible sightings, but there are also a lot of black cats around. Please feel free to share and let us know if there have been any new cats in the area.

Our huge fall yard sale is September 14 at the Bath Senior Center on Floral Street. Lots of items already in to sell. Accepting donations September 13 at BSC from noon til 5!

One pair of our kittens will be ready for their new home in 2 weeks. They have had their first vaccines, wormer & full exam from nose to the tips of their tails. They are 8 weeks & can leave mom at 10 weeks. The other 6 are 10 days younger so it will be 3 weeks & 3 days before they will go home as pairs.
We will show them by appointment only with a preapproved application which can be found on our website & emailed to us. There is no fee to fill out the application. Adoption fee is listed on the form & covers pre paid spay or neuter at our vets office in Yarmouth when they are 6 months old as well as their rabies vaccine & microchip. Kittens are adopted out in pairs only or as singles to homes with another young cat ( 2 years or under).

Both moms will be adoptable as a pair after the kittens go home & have already been spayed, had their vaccines, medical treatments & been microchipped. Two very sweet girls!
