This Winter Break, give them a chance to saddle up and experience the joy of riding at Holiday Riding Camp! 🌟 At Farr Park Equestrian Center, campers (ages 9–12) will learn basic riding skills, horse care, and stable management while making new friends and enjoying fun crafts!

Pick a session that suits their style:
👉 Western Riding: Dec. 30 + 31
Originating from cattle ranching, it uses a larger, heavier saddle designed for long hours of riding. It emphasizes comfort and control for working with livestock, and you’ll see techniques like neck reining. Think cowboys! 🐎

👉 English Riding: Jan. 2 + 3
This style focuses on precision and elegance, with a smaller, lighter saddle for closer contact with the horse. It’s commonly used in disciplines like jumping, dressage, and hunting. Think equestrian sports! 🏇

🎄🐴 What an amazing time at Farr Holiday Riding Camp! 🎄🐴

This group of kids was absolutely fantastic! We had so much fun learning horsemanship skills, enjoying the beautiful trails, and diving into horse care—plus, everyone got hands-on experience! 🐎💚

One of the highlights was a fun game we played on the trails, spotting animals and plants and learning their names! 🦋🌱 It was a great way to connect with nature and each other, and we all learned so much along the way.

🌟 Hearts and Hooves Last Night! 🌟

We switched things up a bit and set up our activities in the outdoor arena! That’s the awesome thing about our facility—we have the flexibility to choose between indoor or outdoor spaces, so we’re ready for all kinds of weather.

As a bonus, we got to enjoy the most beautiful sunset! 🌅 Farr Park really does have the best views. 💛

🌟 Come “cheese” with us at Farr Holiday Riding Camp! 🐴📸

Our one-day camp on November 25 (Western) and November 26 (English) is a perfect way for kids to learn basic riding skills, horse care, and stable management, all while making friends and enjoying fun fall crafts. Each camper will have their own horse and ride for 1-2 hours!

🌟 Hearts and Hooves Update! 🌟

What a fantastic second session we had! We ventured down one of the scenic trails at the back, and it was truly therapeutic—not just for our riders but for all of us involved. 🌳❤️ Moments like these remind us of the beauty of our facility and the joy of being outdoors!

In addition to the trail ride, we had a blast in the arena playing some fun games! 🎉 Here’s what we did:

- Core Strengthening Exercises: Getting strong together! 💪
- Stretching: Gotta keep limber! 🧘‍♂️

🌟 Last week, we had the best time with our ultimate volunteer, Mr. Bo! Dressed as Woody, he brought so much joy to our Hearts + Hooves program! 🤠✨

With a new sheriff in town, you could say there’s a “snake in my boot!” 🐍 But don’t worry, Mr. Bo is here to keep things lively and fun!

We are so grateful for his dedication to Farr Park and for always making us and our riders smile! Thank you, Mr. Bo, for being a shining star in our community! 🌈💖

🎃🕸️ We had a spook-tacular first session back with Hearts and Hooves for our second 6-week block of Fall! Our horses dressed up in their Halloween best, and our riders absolutely wowed us with their creative costumes – they really outdid themselves! 🎉🐴✨

🌞 *A Beautiful Day at Open House* 🌾
We had an unforgettable time at our Open House on October 6! From the Parade of Breeds and scenic hayrides to Halloween photo ops, English and Western riding demos, and meet-and-greets with our beloved horses—there was something for everyone. 🐴✨ We made so many new friends and can’t wait to see you all again next year! 🌿✨ Look what we discovered at Farr Park – something super special! Our awesome instructor, Cana, found a Luna Moth on the property! 🦋💚 Just look how beautiful it is!

The Luna Moth is one of the largest moths in North America, with a wingspan of 4.5 inches. It's so rare to spot one because they’re nocturnal and there aren’t many of them around! 🌙 Its name, “Luna,” comes from the crescent in the eyespots of its wings that resemble a moon, making this sighting even more magical. ✨

We’re so lucky to have a team with such a keen eye for nature! Moments like this remind us just how special Farr Park truly is. 🌿🐴✨

We had an unforgettable day on Sunday, October 20th, as our amazing riders took part in a series of thrilling classes, including:

✨ Walk ✨ Pleasure ✨ Trail ✨ Ranch Riding

The talent and hard work on display were absolutely inspiring! 🏅🐴

And to add even more fun to the day, our riders and horses wowed us in their creative Halloween costumes! 🎃👻 From the outfits to the horse decorations, everything was beyond impressive! 👗🐎✨

🎉 What an Amazing Day at the English Student Horse Show! 🎉

We had an absolute blast on Saturday, October 19th, as our talented riders showcased their skills in a variety of exciting classes, including:

✨ Beginner Equitation
✨ Mini Stirrup Equitation
✨ Modified Equitation
✨ Junior Equitation

We couldn’t be prouder of their progress! 🏅🐴

To top it all off, we wrapped up with a super fun Halloween costume class where our riders AND horses got all dressed up! 🎃👻 The creativity was off the charts—each outfit was more incredible than the last! 👗🐎✨
