All these pups deserve better pics, but we hit the ground running with the SRS Crown Championship starting Monday. Harley and Winston will be competing with some of the finest retrievers in the country.

Traveled to the beautiful state of Nebraska to finish our Master National qualifying. Huge thanks to Dane and Kara Johnson at Apex Retrievers for putting up with me and the pups for nearly 2 weeks.

It was a very successful trip as we got Master titles on Auggie, owned by Justin Bonaventure, Gus owned by Charles Chustz, and Cali owned by Chumac Kennels...

We also qualified Poppi and Wilson for the Master National as well as Auggie, Gus and Cali. This was a special qualification for Wilson who tore his CCL during last years Master National and just returned to competition in June.

This brings our number qualified for the 2024 Master National to 14 ...Winston, Dazy, Maverick, Molly, Joker, Mercy, Harley, Shug Auggie, Poppi, Wilson, Gus, and Cali.

Scott Arceneaux and Coach round out our crew!!

It's been a pretty special 2 week run for Team Chumac!!!! Our crew the last 2 weekends ran South Delta West Mississippi SRS and followed up this weekend with Amite River SRS and River King Field Trial in Paducah...

Ron Anderson and Rip 4th in the Open at West Miss and 1st in the AM at Amite River.

Winston owned by Wesley Hamm 1st in the Open at West Miss for his SRSC title.

Harley owned by Chuck Leblanc 5th in the Open at West Miss and 3rd in the Open at Amite River to qualify for the Crown Championship.

Bailey and Casey Parker 1st in the AM at West Miss and 3rd in the AM at Amite River to qualify for the Crown Championship.

Mark Polkey and Cutter finished 2nd in the Open at Amite River and qualify for the Crown Championship.

Grace Williams and B finished 5th in the AM at Amite River.

And finally, Scott Arceneaux and Coach traveled to Paducah and won the Qualifying at River King to become QAA!!!!!

Wow....2023 is nearly gone and it was quite a year for the pups at Team Chumac....

Looking back on 2023 we had 23 Grand passes.....8 new Grand Champions.....and 9 Master National passes.

A huge thank you to all of Team Chumac, but an extra big thanks to my good friend Mark Polkey who makes Team Chumac successful with his young dog work.

Excited to see what 2024 has in store!!!!

We wrapped up an incredibly busy month with a successful run at the 2023 Master National in absolutely gorgeous Thomasville, Georgia!! Huge thank you to everyone involved in putting this huge event on....and a special thanks to our judges Rich Ellis and Dave Macpherson for setting up extremely challenging but fun tests to run all week!!!!

Passing the 2023 Master National were:

GRHRCH(4) SRSAC Fergie's Full Flavor, MNH QA2....Winston earned a spot in the Master National Hall of Fame with his 3rd consecutive pass. Winston is owned by Wesley Hamm.

HRCH Chumac's Fowl Mouthed Shortstop, MH. Tanner passed his 1st Master National as a 2 year old. Tanner is also owned by Wesley Hamm.

GRHRCH Trigger's Death Punch, MNH. Punch earned a spot in the Master National Hall of Fame with his 3rd Consecutive pass. Punch is owned by Travis Bennett.

HRCH Tiger's Good Golly Miss Molly, MNR. Molly passed her 2nd consecutive Master National. Molly is owned by Fernie Wood.

GRHRCH(3) Seasides Cruising the Coast, MNR. Harley passed her 2nd consecutive Master National as a 3 year old. Harley is owned by Chuck Leblanc.

HRCH One Shot's Texas Widowmaker, MNR. Boss passed his 2nd consecutive Master National. Boss is owned by Alex Huff.

GRHRCH Kemp's Lone Ranger Some Call Me Clyde, MNR. Maverick passed his 2nd consecutive Master National. Maverick is owned by Steven Kemp.

HRCH Honey's Marsh Maniac, MH. Dazy passed her 1st Master National. Dazy is owned by Todd Hanson.

GRHRCH(4) Elly May Klampett Klar, MNR. Elly passed her 2nd Master National. Elly is owned by Kevin Klar.

All of these passes would not have been possible without unbelievable help from all of Team Chumac!!!

Mark Polkey Qualified several of these dogs as well as taking the entire crew in for training while I was at the SRS Crown Championship. I cannot thank Mark enough!!!! He also put the basics on the majority of these dogs!!

And the rest of Team Chumac...David Lowrance, Charles Chustz, Carl Fontenot, Ron Anderson, Chase McCall, Bob McCall, Fernie Wood, and Casey Parker....A huge thanks to all of you...

The 2023 Fall Grand is in the books!!!! A huge thank you to the Grand Committee...The Kentucky folks who made it happen...but most of all to the judges who set up fair, CHALLENGING tests to truly test our dogs this week...Team Chumac came away with 8 Grand passes!!! And they are as follows:

New GRHRCH Kemps Lone Ranger Some Call Me Clyde, MH. Maverick became Team Chumac's 65th Grand Champion. Maverick is owned by Steven Kemp as well...becoming Steve's 2nd Grand Champion!!

HRCH One Shot's Texas Widowmaker, MH. Boss got his 1st Grand pass. Boss is owned by Alex Huff!!

GRHRCH(3) Primetime's Shotgun Willie, MH..Willie got his 3rd Grand Pass as a 3 year old!! Willie is owned by David Brewerton!!

New GRHRCH Bawlin on Da Bayou Jag, MH. A last minute decision to enter Jag paid off for Jags owner Rochelle Williams. Jag came off the couch to become Team Chumac's 66th Grand Champion!!!!

GRHRCH(4) SRSAC Fergies Full Flavor, MHR, QA2...Winston got his 4th Grand Pass in flawless fashion. Winston is owned by Wesley Hamm and Winston is proving to love the hunt test game with his 4th pass in 5 attempts.

HRCH Honey's Marsh Maniac, MH. Dazy got her 1st Grand pass in her 1st attempt following in her mom's footsteps!! Dazy is owned by Todd Hanson and is a pup off of 6XGRHRCH YFarms Honey on the Move!!!

GRHRCH(3) Seasides Cruising the Coast, MH. Harley got her 3rd Grand pass as a 3 year old. Harley is owned by Chuck Leblanc and the little stub tailed dog is proving to be a force in the hunt test game!!!
