💵 IT’S $5 FRIDAY 💵
APAWS wants to encourage you to donate just $5 (or more if you can) to help the animals we bring in to apaws care from all over the state of Louisiana. If every follower on our page donated just $5, we would have over $25,000! Imagine the amazing things we could do to help save so many lives. The shelters in our area are overflowing and we are receiving so many pleas to rescue. Two things hinder our ability to help animals in need- Funds & Foster Homes.

Meet River
Shepherd Experience Required

River is a Shepard, approximately 1yr 4months(Jan), neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations & working on house training/crate training. He is your typical shepherd wanting to be a velcro dog. He is good with other dogs & would do best in a home with a confident dog. He knows sit, touch, come, kennel, inside/outside. River would not do well with a first time dog owner. APAWS could really use some help right now. As a non-profit, we rely on donations from our community to be able to do what we do. Whether that be donations of gently used items, donations from our amazon wishlists or monetary donations to the rescue- we could really use some support from our community in times like this.

***We could really use dog food, 48 wire crates, medium pet & larger pet taxis.***

Blankets/towels/sheets /Beds/crate mats
Crates/pet taxis /x pen /crate covers
Puppy pads/ newspapers
Collars/leashes/harness
Dog/baby gates
Food /treats/ longer lasting chews
Bowls/ slow feeders
Toys/Snuffle mats /Kongs/pool
Cleaning supplies/paper towels
Gift cards(Walmart,Target, Petsmart)

You can drop off items to the PetSmart at the Petsmart in Gonzales & tell them it’s for APAWS or items can be dropped off to our vet, Petstar Animal Care of Prairieville , Monday-Friday anytime from 8am-5pm or you can send us an email at [email protected] &/or message us here on facebook to schedule a pick up/drop off with one of our volunteers. Let’s keep these babies warm and spoiled!!

Meet Cider!

Cider is a 9 month old(Jan), purebred yellow lab, spayed, microchipped & currentonvaccinations. Cider is a super sweet baby girl who loves to retrieve. She is a little nervous as she didn't spend much time inside before coming to the rescue! She needs a fenced in yard because she likes to play by running away with her toys! She is a super chewer and needs hard toys! No other dogs. She loves mental enrichment games and treats feeder toys.

*Due to age and Cider’s history, APAWS will REQUIRE a training contract to be signed at time of adoption.
