What a beautiful photo of Rylee and Montana.
Rylee and her mother, Stephanie Schultz came to Platinum Rose back in 2020, when we were just getting started, and it’s been amazing to be a part of Rylee’s growth and success thus far.
Back in late 2022, Stephanie surprised Rylee with her very first horse, Montana. I had the pleasure of working with this mare, getting her back in shape, and connecting horse and rider at a stage where they could grow together. They even took the leap and participated in their first gymkhana competition together a few weekends ago.
I’m so proud of this team, and happy this beautiful family chose me to jumpstart their journey in the horse world ❤️

Such good progress with the young ones this summer ❤️

What beautiful photos of Audrie and one of our lesson horses, Coleman.
These two have been working their tails off in showing and lessons this year, it was nice to see them dress up and have a fun evening in the spotlight. These photos really capture the bond they’ve created through all their hard work and dedication to one another.

We have moved! horses couldn’t be happier, and we’re so excited to re-open with more stalling availability, and lesson availability!

What cute pictures of all three girls at the show this past weekend ❤️ couldn’t be more proud of the teams they are creating with their equine partners!
05/14/2023
So proud of these 3 ladies and their equine partners yesterday!
Natalie & Skittles:
Despite this being Natalie’s very first show ever: she did not let her nerves get the best of her and laid out a beautiful showmanship pattern, and was rewarded with 1st place!
She’s really connecting with Skittles and they’re such an adorable team to watch from the rail. Having some beautiful moments!
She also took on the HUS earning 4th in Equitation and 1st in Pleasure!
Audrie & Coleman:
Audrie’s first show ever! She’s learned so much about how to navigate and listen to whatever horse she rides. I’m so proud of all her goes, attempting with all she had to keep her cool.
Earning 1st in the Showmanship, 4th in HUS EQ. and 3rd in the Pleasure.
4th in Horsemanship and 1st in Western Pleasure!
Alyssa & Lacey:
Only knowing this team for a short period of time, they worked together so well. They kicked off some rust and got stronger and stronger as the day went along at their first show of the season. I couldn’t be more proud to watch this team grow so much in such a short period of time, and I know they will only become a stronger team as time goes on.
Alyssa earned 4th in her showmanship class with a beautiful pattern! Only having a chance to practice briefly before the show.
2nd in both of her HUS classes with a very strong ride in her Pleasure.
And 3rd in both Western classes!

So excited for this team to hit the show pen this year for the very first time!
Audrie seemed to click with Coleman from her very first lesson here, and has denied the enjoy riding any other lesson horse since. No doubt they’ll continue the growth of their bond from the show arena, Walk/Trot, this year.
Counting down the days to our first show in May!

What a big day for TK and his owner, Michele! Ride #1 together! Many more to come!

Rainbows Kiss
Aka Smooch
* 5y/o registered APHA mare
* 15.2HH
* Located in Battle Creek, MI.
* Loads
* Ties/cross ties
* Stands for farrier/vet/Etc.
* Bathes
* 5 Panel N/N
* Would make a wonderful project for experienced rider, or a beautiful brood mare!
This mare is the sweetest at the farm. A very welcoming expression every morning when I arrive to feed.
She is currently green and needs an experienced rider, but she’s very easy to handle on the ground. My beginner lesson kids enjoy spoiling her with brushing, and she’s always 1st pick when any kiddo has a showmanship lesson.
Current owner is very upset to see her go, but her next chapter in life doesn’t have smooch in the cards, unfortunately.
This mare has had 60 days under her belt here on the farm, and will remain in full time training until she sells. Meaning this price will increase with training.
Low 5 figures FIRM.

Everyone meet Takoda (Also known as Howie(character scared of sun in the classic movie “Benchwarmers”) or Courage (as in, the cowardly dog) 😅😂) a 6y/o Appaloosa Gelding.
Takoda made his way here, through transport VIA Platinum Rose, back in the beginning of Nov.
I was called to pick him up a week after his training date was supposed to start due to the re-occurring issue of not being able to load him in a trailer.
Turns out, upon arrival, Takoda was not halter broke. So I proceeded to work with him at his former home to gain his trust.
Within 3 hours, Takoda was beginning to give to poll pressure, walk along side me in the small round pen. Once the trailer was backed up to the round pen, in no less than 10 minutes he willingly stepped in with no further arguments or struggles. Quick learner!
Coming into January, I sat on Takoda for the first time.
Before this, I struggled with a bolting issue. He would get away from me a lot. And he’s not an argumentative horse. He’s one I struggled to find curiosity in. He let his fear get the best of him very often, and still does.
I’ve been able to get through to him through constant repetition, and not letting my patience get away from me. He’s learned it’s much easier just to stop and think, rather than bolt… because I’d only make him run more … I’ve learned to allow this horse have a few extra seconds to find his head, and listen for that “lick-and-chew” acceptance before moving forward with our lesson for the day.
And we’ve learned together that taking a few days a week to go back and review desensitizing, or trying, small, new things, not TOO far out of his comfort zone to help him build up his curiosity. This keeps him engaged so he doesn’t go off in his own little world and forget that I’m still on top of him, guiding him through his ride for the day.
His goal with his new momma, Michele, will be trail riding around the property, and eventually venturing out to local recreational parks to explore. I know with Michele’s patience, and Takoda’s quick learning, they will eventually get there!
Enjoy this small video of my latest ride on Takoda/Howie/Courage!
