Hi, my name is April and after living overseas, there were no jobs for radiography in my area. My friend asked me if I would like to watch her dog boarding business while she was on vacation, and I loved it. I then decided to go to The Paragon School of Pet Grooming in Grand Rapids to get my training and certificate. Afterward, I worked with my friend, grooming at her business, for two years. My h
usband's job brought me to the Battle Creek area and I liked grooming so much that I decided to pursue it here as well. My business is in a quiet, country setting with a climate controlled inside area as well as a large, fenced in play area outside.
I love doing pet portraits, so I just thought I would share some photos that I've taken over the years. Who doesn't like looking at adorable pets? The first is a shelter cat and if you're looking to adopt, her and her sister are the sweetest girls I've ever met and I would have taken them if I didn't already have 3 cats of my own that would beat them up. Some of these creatures are still alive and well and we've had to say goodbye to others, but all of them are good boys and girls.
Happy 9th birthday to Pippa! My mom always thought it was November 2nd, but noticed on her paperwork that it's actually the 6th. Pippa is a sweet girl that loves to be outside getting herself injured.
Happy 9th birthday to Zuko Tuomas! He had a rough start to life so it takes him a very long time to warm up to people, but he is the sweetest boy who would be sitting in my lap all day if I let him. He loves cuddling with other dogs even though other dogs don't always appreciate it. Unless the vet gives me good news in the form of a reasonable surgery price, this will likely be his last birthday. So, if you know anyone in need of a groomer, send them my way.
Happy 6th birthday to Crowley! He is a very clingy boy who loves to lay his head on your lap for pets. His favorite activity is barking.
Happy birthday to miss Takoa Fae! This is our Nasty Newdle. She loves to roll in anything smelly she can find. She loves playing with Meppy and her girls, but her girls are still afraid of her. If they get to fighting, all it takes is one small growl from Koa and they stop immediately.
Happy Birthday to miss Tohru Philomena! Tohru is our Needy Newdle. She is very clingy and needs to be around people or her sister at all times. She's a very sweet girl
Happy birthday to Mr. Mephisto Pheles! This is our Nifty Newdle. He pretty much likes everyone and everything. He's laid back and happy all the time. He went from being one of the smallest and in danger of not making it to 90 lbs of big dumb oaf. Love this boy.
Happy 1st Birthday to miss Akame Glynis. She is our Naughty Newdle. She is a very happy and bouncy destructive force that doesn't like strangers, but we love her anyway. Her birthday is also the 12th. She was our 5th born puppy.
Happy birthday to miss Winifred Mabel. She is our Nosy Newdle. She sticks her nose in/up everything and she's not too gentle about it. She's a sweet girl with a very big bark. She was one of our smaller puppies but is now 80 lbs. She was born on the 12th, but is the oldest of the puppies we kept as the 4th born, so she gets her post first.
October is birthday month for the Yeager Dogs (except Pippa, but we don't want her to feel left out). So we'll be posting pictures on their birthdays, except that the puppies share their birthday so they'll be spread out. I love doing dog photos

Our phone is working again. Our service is not as good as it used to be. We can take calls, but it may take us a second to answer as we have to be standing in certain locations.
We had a kennel become available over spring break if anyone still needs to board their dog
Our phone is really struggling to get service lately. If you can, please text rather than call. Our calls keep dropping and most of the time our phone doesn't even ring. It just sends you straight to voicemail.

Look at Jack! Jack (previously Amaimon) was always hanging out in the back of the puppy group, so not many people noticed him. He's a very sweet boy and he looks so happy in his new home! Maybe someday he'll be as big as his new sister.
Wanted to share some photos of Oslo in his new home. It's safe to say that he likes his new big brother, Gus. So happy for this little man.
Susan found a home! I'm so excited for this girl. She met two of her siblings today and they got along great. She'll have plenty of friends and we'll still get to see her.
Susan was as sweet as she always is. I know it's hard to believe, but Susan is STILL AVAILABLE. She really is as cute as she looks in these photos. She's cuddly and adorable and I love her. I don't understand why nobody wants her.
Meppy. Meppy was Meppy, so he wouldn't stay still for anything and was just running around chewing on the house. He was the last to go, so by this point the camera was unable to focus and wouldn't take photos at all half the time. The flashes were also running out of battery and everything just went to crap. So, here's Mep.
Yota had a lot of fun with the toy and running, so her photos were very difficult. I did manage to get some though

The puppies are very playful and are getting their teeth. The ones crying in the background are waiting for a washcloth bath before they can join the others
Miss Fenchurch Roselei protecting the world from feet. If you're ever attacked by feet, Fenny Rose will save you
Had to switch to higher walls for the puppies. Tohru kept escaping and going on adventures. Mephisto also escaped once, but it was scary and he had to scream until someone came to save him. He didn't escape again.
These puppies are 75% standard poodle and 25% newfoundland. They should be very minimal shedding, if at all. Both parents were genetically health tested and cleared. If you're interested, let me know and I can get you on the list. If somebody backs out, I will update you on which order you get to pick your puppy.
Meet Tohru (gray) and Akame (tan). These two ladies found a home together, which is great because they are always together. Tohru is a very spunky little girl. She's the smallest of the litter, but can stand her own with any of the big puppies. Akame is now the biggest of the litter, not so much in body size, but she's overtaken Oslo in fat. She is also fairly spunky, she just moves at a slower speed due to her weight. They will be staying in the family and I'll get to see them every weekend. So excited to help spoil them for the rest of their lives.
Meet Amaimon. Amaimon is one of the smallest in the litter, so his only chance of taking others out is to wait until they're sleeping. He is a very sweet little guy that stares right into your soul when you hold him. I love this little man.
Say hi to Mephisto. Mr. Mep is a very sweet little guy when he wants to be, but much like Susan, he has a very ferocious growl when he gets playing. We had a hard time getting this guy to gain weight, but now that he gets plenty of food, he's quite active. He's also good for some puppy cuddles and will nap in your lap if you let him.
Say hi to Fenchurch. Fenny is a mover. When she gets moving, she keeps going even though she's not very stable. She's can be quite energetic and very playful. She has no problem chewing on her siblings' faces whether they're awake or sleeping.
Say hello to Susan. Susan is a big girl, and by big, I mean round. She can have a very ferocious growl when she gets playing hard, but her big belly tends to throw her off balance. She likes taking long naps, but when she's awake, she's terrorizing her siblings.
Meet Winnie. Winnie can play hard, much like Stripe, but she can also be very sweet. She's playful, just not at the same level as Stripe. She just likes to grab onto her siblings' snouts. She also loves a good cuddle and would like to sleep in your lap.
Meet Jeffrey. This guy likes to run over his siblings, and he's big enough to do it. However, he also gets himself into predicaments that he can't figure out how to get out of. Then he's free game for his siblings to come chew on his limbs as payback.
Meet Stripe. Stripe is a feisty little girl. She's very playful and loves to attack her siblings. She enjoys running around as best she can, but she's not very stable yet. She's definitely more active than some of the others.
Meet Oslo. Oslo is a very mellow guy. He likes to lay on his back and wait for other puppies to come play with him, rather than waste his energy searching them out. He's super cuddly and the only one who will let me hold him like this. He's always up for some cuddle naps. He is the biggest of the litter and absolutely my favorite. If I were rich, there's no way I'd let this guy go.
