While dental care is important all year round, February is designated as Dental Health Month. Dental care is very important for your pet's health. Infections caused by the toxins created from oral bacteria can be transported through a pet’s bloodstream. This can lead to problems with multiple organs, including the liver, the kidneys and most commonly, the heart. Toxins can attack the valves of the heart, diminishing their capacity and increasing the likelihood of cardiac failure.

The 4th of July is fast approaching! Our office will be closed on Monday, the 3rd AND Tuesday, the 4th. If you normally need medications for your pets for fireworks, please call early this week to order so you can have them in time for the upcoming holiday. 269-962-9955

It's finally getting warmer out - just a reminder to never leave your dog—or any other animal—in a hot car. Even at just 70 degrees outside, your car can get to dangerous temperatures inside - even in the shade or with the windows cracked open. It’s like being baked alive. Heatstroke can happen in just minutes, even with the car’s windows partially rolled down. And opening a window slightly won’t help—parking in the shade or leaving water in the vehicle won’t prevent your dog from overheating, either. Please leave your pets at home during the warmer weather if you are not able to take them everywhere you go.

Froggie's Pond resident, Desi, spends his Friday afternoon getting a massage from LeAnne. He is a leukemia positive kitten who is staying with us in the clinic until he is ready to make the transition to the Froggies Pond building. His job is listed as "staff enrichment ".😁😁❤❤

Our client, Sandi, graciously allowed us to video her cat, Thumbs, getting his nails trimmed and nail caps put on. This allows him to keep his claws and protects the house as well. 😊 This is something that can be done at home as well. You can see it only takes a second for the nail glue to adhere. These nail caps come in lots of colors so you can mix and match for the seasons, favorite team or holidays. 😎

Meet Callum! He's a handsome fellow and one of our Clinic cats. His favorite place to hang out is on Dr. Ben's desk. 😊 He also has the absolutely most adorable meow - it's silent. :-)
