Our Pet Portal is Live!

With our pet portal, you can:

Review and print vaccine certificates for boarding, grooming, or daycare
Review your pets health care reminders
Request prescription refills
View previous services
Pay invoices online
And more!

To use the pet portal:

In your internet browser, navigate to Dickmanroadvet.com and click on the pet portal page!
Once you’re on the pet portal main page, click “Login to Pet Portal”
Enter your email address previously provided to Dickman Road vet Clinic or DRVC On Columbia, your phone number, and name.
You will receive a verification email with a code. Enter this code on the pet portal website. If you do not receive a verification email, Dickman Road Vet Clinic/DRVC On Columbia likely has a different email address on file for you.

Good morning! I just wanted to announce some upcoming closures. We will be closing at 4p on Friday December 22nd, Thursday December 28th, and Wednesday January 3rd. This will be for us to have some dry runs with the Shepherd software. Saturday December 30th we are closed due to both our doctors being gone for the Holidays and Saturday January 6th we are closed for us to input our client and patient base into our new software so we have it up and running on Monday January 8th!! We are also closing this Wednesday at 4 for our Holiday party. Thank you all for the understanding and patience as we go through this time of change! We appreciate you!

We are updating our software system! January 8th we will launch our new software program, Shepherd. We will be getting rid of our paper files and going paperless! Although a daunting task, we look forward to it and to be able to better serve you!

What this means for you, our clients:
The first couple weeks we launch we will be seeing less appointments while we go through the transition from one software to the next. If you have a vaccine or wellness exam that could go before or after that couple weeks it would be greatly appreciated. If it is a puppy starting their puppy vaccines or in the middle of the series absolutely we will get you scheduled!
We will be updating our communications with you! Please make sure that your phone number is current on your account and let us know if it is easier to contact you via email or text message. You will also be able to opt in for mass communications, such as sudden closures.
We will be sending some paperwork out prior to your appointment if you have a surgery or drop off to make for a smoother and faster check in process. That paperwork can be sent to you via email or text message.
You can use our pet portal to request refills, make appointments or pay your bill online. You should also be able to print vaccine certificates from your pets page. We will send out information regarding the portal when we get closer to launch.
If you pay by credit card you have the option to keep that credit card on file in Shepherd, this will make it easier to pay with any recurring visits! It will be saved into Shepherd just like you would save it into Amazon and nobody else will have access to it, not even employees! If you prefer to not have your information saved let us know at checkout! Nothing will change with Care Credit, Cash or Check.

We have received some calls about pacemakers, so we wanted to share the official statement the veterinary school made yesterday! The generous thoughts are always appreciated!

Pacemakers: We receive many generous offers for pacemaker donations at the MSU Veterinary Medical Center. The Hospital’s Cardiology Service sources donated pacemakers from a medical instruments company, which processes pacemakers that are suitable for our patients. If you are interested in facilitating a pacemaker donation, please ask your funeral home if they submit pacemakers to veterinary practices. The Hospital generally cannot accept donations that are called in, though we appreciate the consideration. 💚

Primetime for TICKS! This is when everyone stops preventative for fleas and ticks because it’s “cold” outside and you don’t need it! Ticks come out when it is over 37 degrees! Please continue your flea and tick prevention!
