Please be cautious letting your cats out. This years strain of HPAI for whatever reason is very easily jumping to felines of all sizes. If you cannot keep your cats indoors, at least limit exposure to wild birds and their waste as much as possible and if you see any dead birds on your property keep domestic animals away from them (and hey, maybe report to WSDA as well).

African servals, cougars and bobcats were among the animals that died at the Wild Felid Advocacy Center.

Needing to share this type of news is very rare for us, but there is a voluntary recall on Northwest Naturals Feline Turkey. Please see image for batch information.

This is due to HPAI contamination which can and does spread to mammals, and especially felines are at risk.

We applaud Northwest Naturals Raw Pet Food for taking every precaution with this and are proud to offer their otherwise wonderful products.

Nothing is more frustrating than supply issues and empty spots on shelves. For you as guests, or for us as a store.

One of our goals is always to be honest and transparent, along those lines we have some important news to share about two lines that have been having some outages lately on our shelves.

FirstMate, has been seeing some outages on a few formulas, this stems not from the manufacturer but their distributor in the US. FirstMate has added another option for distribution that will start shipping first week in January so these outages should no longer be an issue at that point.

Lifetime is a wonderful food but has been plagued by shipping delays from the manufacturer with some SKUs being unavailable for months at a time. The food is also looking at a substantial price increase in addition to not seeing any new stock until late January or February at the earliest. Therefore we have decided as a store to better serve our guests we will be replacing Lifetime with foods of a same or better quality and a similar price point which was one of Lifetime's strengths. Customers will NOT lose any progress on frequent buyer cards as we will transfer the number of bags to your new food.

NutriSource is an excellent family owned brand of pet food, self manufactured in Minnesota since their founding in 1964. What sets them apart is their Good 4 Life system of nutrients from Alltech to support proper digestion and build your pet's gut microbiome. They do all this at a very affordable price point and will slide in to fill the niche on our shelves left by Lifetime.

Stocking stuffer for your pet?
