On behalf of everyone here at Four Rivers, thank you for the kind words of support and condolences on the loss of Dr. Perry. He will be greatly missed by our Four Rivers family.

As we adjust to our new circumstances as a two doctor practice, please note that the following policy changes have been made.

Effective immediately, Dr. Faulk will be available for appointments at our Baxley clinic on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM. The Baxley clinic will remain open for technician services on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM. Services include but are not limited to preventative and medication dispensing, nail trims and baths.

Our Vidalia clinic will continue to operate during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Due to overwhelming demand, our appointment and surgery schedules have been filling rapidly and our capacity for walk-in patients is limited. For this reason, we have instituted a same-day service fee that will be applied to all non-emergency walk-in visits. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work to ensure that your furry family member receives care in a timely manner.

Effective immediately, emergency/after-hours consultations will be limited to weeknights only until 9:00 PM. In the event of a veterinary emergency outside of these hours, please contact Middle Georgia Veterinary Emergency Center in Warner Robins (478-997-6677) or Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Savannah (912-355-6113).

As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to one of our dedicated team members with any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding during this time of transition.

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of one of our beloved doctors, Walter Perry. Dr. Perry fought the most courageous battle against cancer for an incredibly unfair number of years. That battle ended yesterday, June 27.

Some people have the kind of personality that fills a room without speaking a word. Dr. Perry was one of those rare people. Soft spoken and gentle, a man of few words. But his down-to-earth approach to both life and medicine were beloved by many. Over the many years he practiced medicine in the area, he touched countless numbers of lives—both 2 and 4-legged. Words can never adequately express how deeply he will be missed or everything he meant to us all at Four Rivers. Undoubtedly, our lives are forever blessed because he was a part of it.

Dr. Perry, we were so blessed to work alongside the kindest, gentlest soul. We will forever miss you. ❤️

Opossum are not aggressive: their open-mouth, defensive hissing is merely a bluff to look vicious. And if that doesn't work they play dead when really scared! If there is an opossum in the backyard, don't worry. They aren't a threat, and more than likely they will be moving on in a short while.
