WARNING!

There have been a lot of scam posts about our farm selling horses when we are not. Please do not send anyone any money until you see the horse in person. We are so very sorry this is happening. If you see any posts please help us in reporting them. Thanks

We are happy to announce that we have relocated to Baxter,Iowa. We have been getting a lot of questions about what services will still be offered there. For the moment we are still doing camp on Saturdays from 2-4. The farm has made it possible to offer more opportunities so as soon as we get settled in we will be posting more info. You are always welcome to keep privately messaging us or to contact us directly. Thank you and God Bless everyone.

God is so good! He gave us the strength to persevere all year long, and we were justly rewarded with a great fair. All the girls showing had success, and the Almighty kept us safe throughout it all. A special thanks to the parents and families that came to support us. We definitely had the best crowd there. Praise be to God for the great rides and memories!

The flowers have been planted, the horses have been clipped, and the hours in the saddle have all been done. Now it is time to kick off this fair year. Please join us in praying for our Freedom Riders clubs as we go to the Polk County Fair. Our ultimate ribbon: being a light for Jesus and loving on other clubs through this time. These kids have worked so hard and grown so much in the past year. We couldn't be prouder of them! Hope to see (and hear) you there!

07/19/2015

Important Reminder: We will NOT be holding lessons this Thursday due to 2015 Polk County Fair. Instead, we are asking all Thursday lesson kids to come on this Tuesday at their regularly scheduled time, and we will do their lesson then. We would love to see you come support our Freedom Riders club this weekend. Most girls start showing at 8:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. Have a great week, all!

Nine days until country fair! We have been working hard on our last few rides and finishing up our projects. Please keep our kids in your prayers as they get ready to go to the Iowa State Fairgrounds July 22nd through July 26th. We would love to see you come and support us! Trail class is the first class, and it begins on Thursday afternoon. Western classes are mostly Friday, and English classes are mostly Saturday.

It was hot, and it was sweaty, but it didn't stop us from having fun! Yesterday we held our Tri-B Fun Horse Show for our advanced lesson students and 4H kids. Classes included halter, showmanship, walk-trot, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Disciplined Rail, English Pleasure, English Equitation, Trail, and Junior and Senior Cowgirl Queen. A special thanks to Jessica Boor for judging and giving us some great specific feedback, to the 4H girls involved in setting this all up and the parents that helped run it, and to Jen and Brad for all they do for us. Go, Team Tri-B!

Another year of camp has gone by, but it was the best by far! We had so much fun learning about horses, from the names of body parts, to how a herd of horses acts, to how to ride a horse. We made a horseshoe craft to help us remember our fun week, and we ended the week with horse painting and a horse parade. A special heartfelft thanks goes to our volunteers for giving their time to help make this possible. Campers and families, we love you so much and hope to see you again next year!

A special shout out of thanks to Dr. Ashley for coming to the farm and showing us what a pregnancy check on a mare involves. Your patience and willingness to teach us are much appreciated! We can't wait for her to be bred and meet her baby!

We started taking photos of our 4H kids and Clover kids that will be showing this year. Please keep them in your prayers for safe rides and that God will use them for His glory. More photos will be added at a later date.

Just a friendly reminder that camp registrations are due ASAP so that we can plan and purchase items for our camp week. Also, lessons move to Tuesdays (advanced riders) and Thursdays (beginner riders) the first week of June. We can't wait for our summer fun to begin!

Oh happy day! The final day of Spring Break 2015, our advanced 4H riders and staff got to enjoy our first trail ride together. God blessed us with fantastic weather, and all the horses were very well-behaved. This is great news since for most of them, this was their first trail ride ever. Our newly broken Faith and her owner Katelyn as well as sibling horses Chili, Zion, and Jewel (owners Savanna, Brad, and Aly) also got to experience this for the first time. Our junior 4Hers Mackenzie and Isa got to join in on team POA, and it wouldn't be complete without Barn Dad Bruce, Jen, Brandt, Danell, and Aalysha. What an amazing experience! We can't wait to get out and hit the trail again!

What a gorgeous day for lessons, even though we had to have them inside! Today we worked on horse ring etiquette by staying on the rail, keeping a safe distance from the horse in front of us, looking up before backing, turning on the haunches, and paying attention to our speed in order to not pass the person in front of us. We also discussed that horsemanship is one of the most important things about working with horses. It means that you can communicate and understand what your horse is telling you by their body language, and they can understand you by how you carry your body language and use your voice around them. At the end of the day, we held a great Bible study about the seven trumpets from Revelations. We also took a group photo with our new Tri-B beanies and apparel.

We will be starting Bible study this week at 5:00, with the meal bring served beforehand. Spread the word!

Tonight we were blessed to have Aalyshah Zaragoza come and teach our advanced lesson kids how to jump. Aalyshah began her training at Tri-B, and five years ago moved to a barn that specialized more in jumping. Tri-B has never been far from her heart, and this week she returned to share her knowledge with us. Students learned how to count out strides for jumping and learned what different types of jumps were called. She was able to coach kids through walking, jogging, and cantering over the jumps. Thank you, Aalyshah, for blessing us with this time. We are so thankful! My apologies to the second class... the sun just set too soon, and I wasn't able to get as many pictures in the dark. I did sn**ch a few for you!

10/27/2014

This coming Saturday (November 1st) we will not be holding Bible study after lessons. We will be holding a meeting for our 4H members and their families about showing next year. If you are showing a horse or apprenticing with us for the 2014-2015 fair season, please plan on attending this meeting with a parent or parents. It starts at 6:30 in the addition. Come prepared to learn about your expectations as a Tri-B leaser, set horse and God goals, learn about the various classes you can be in, ask questions, and fellowship with the 4H families you will be showing with. If you have any questions, please see Jen Butler.
